great film, havin struggled myself with this eating disorder i would recommend this film to anyone that has or knows some one with this problem. very moving film.
I found the film to be, on the whole, factually accurate and the characters are easy to relate to. Mother and Daughter are played by excellent actresses who capture the thoughts and emotions related to the illness well, and portray it in a believeable and non-cliché manner. It also looks beyond the surface instead of playing up to the media-hype and stereotypes.
Must see movie for anyone who has had to deal with this.
I found this to be an excellent film. As anyone who has had an eating disorder knows, anorexia and bulimia can be very isolating but this film provides a type of support that you're not alone. It accurately portrays Beth as a bulimic in desperate need of help but reluctant to accept it. Few films focus on bulimia so this is welcomed.
Equally good for family and friends because it gives an accurate insight into the awful condition.
