Sex And The City - Series 1-6 (DVD 2004)

Having tried and failed before, I was delighted to recently win an auction for a Sex and the City Series 1 to 6 boxset. I was even more happy when it turned up at my house in double-quick time. My happiness was short-lived, however, when I sat down to enjoy my bargain and discovered that the first disc of the set didn't work. I tried a different disc, then a different one again, until I'd soon worked my way through the whole boxset finding only one series that contained discs that all worked. I was extremely disappointed that my bargain had turned out to to be so faulty. At this point, I noticed from the sleeves that the discs had no regional encoding. I tried the discs on other DVD players, thinking perhaps that my player was somehow incompatible with the discs, but they still didn't play. This boxset is known as the 'shoebox collection' and I've since discovered that the box itself is a completely different size in the High Street shops and the discs are, of course, regionally encoded in accordance with industry standards. It was a huge disappointment.

Be careful to get the genuine HOB paramount version for region2 - there are SO many copies of this box set - they have photcopied covers inside the box for each DVD. This is s great way to collect all 6 series and has every single episode across 19 dvd in the complete set - highly recommened - a great great series and a must forevery collector - this is such a good way to make sure you have the lot!
