Seven (DVD 2001)

I needed a new dvd and was having a browse i came across the SE7EV DVD and liked the description of it. Its of very good quality and enjoyed it.

an all time classic film one of the best of the philological thrillers ever made brilliantly acted, and directed dvd extras are good to (2 disc edition) the sound if you have surround sound is really good. a must have for any dvd collection

wasnt expecting much of this film..but it is actually quite good.. boring at times good story line.

Admittedly, I am not a fan of such films as Se7en. The whole idea of a simple murder bored me. But this was no simple murder. From start to finish, it keeps you enthralled. Morgan Freeman, Brad Pitt and Kevin Spacey were brilliant, setting the mood and barreling the story magnificently. Kevin Spacey chilled me to the bone, portraying the murderer brilliantly as a cold, calculated and intelligent man, Brad Pitt did well as the angry, cocky new kid and Morgan Freeman was a brilliant father figure for the majority of the movie. The storyline is brilliant, special effects look outstanding for a 1995 film, the gruesome details of each murder a credit to the creators. The only gripe I have is the ending is forseeable. But even that did not spoil this thoroughly fantastic film.

this is a film that should be in everyones dvd collection. kevin spacey delivers a great performance! very clever little film, bound to keep you glued to the tele! great film all the way through, with very unexpected ending!

We bought this film because we had seen it before and thought it was good. It is not however for the squeemish! Starring Morgan Freeman and Brad Pitt, it is the story of two cops, one young and ambitious and one about to retire, hunting a serial killer. The end is totally unexpected and very clever. If you like a good thriller and have a strong stomach then this one's for you.

An unsual but interesting film blending aspect's of the classic cop thriller with horrific shock element's.
When an older,(Morgan Freeman)officer who is about to retire is assigned to uncover evidence from a sadistic homicide,he is joined by new partner,(Brad Pitt).
Freeman is aware that the circustances have a greater meaning than just the murder and feel's Pitt's character is unready to take the case on.
What develope's is an unravelling of a serial killer's twisted fantasies executed literally upon his victim's.
The nature of the crime's are so henious that Freeman decide's to help Pitt try to catch the murderer.The two officer's are gradually brought together as we see their character's unveiled.
Freeman is the loner,a disenchanted unassuming intelligent cop who think's he has seen it all,(untill this case).Pitt is married and a younger ambitious reactionary cop who is ready to kick in a door rather than wait for a search warrant.
What we see is the two brought together to fight a common evil.
Critic's might say that they could see the end coming what with it's apparrent sin's sic! and formulaic style.
I enjoyed the movie with Freeman and Pitt giving believable performances and a plot that move's along quick enough to keep the audience involved and interested enough in the outcome.

This film is superb. Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman are excellent in their roles as homicide detectives. Kevin Spacey also plays his role fantastically as always and is very creepy.
This film has an excellent storyline, keeps you on the edge of your seat, is very cleverly written and has alot of twists to. It is also very disturbing in places and is one of the best thrillers i have seen.
It is a dark and very eerie film but definately worth seeing.

This is a top film. I loved this film. I watched it thinking that it would not be very good and loved it!! There was top acting by everyone including Kevin Spacey, Brad Pitt, Kiefer Sutherland, Gweneth Pultrow, and not forgetting Morgan Freeman. Brad and Morgan work closely together to try and solve a murder case like no other and try and hunt down the killer, which proves harder than it seems. I dont want to give too much away but will not disappoint. This all star cast is a cert for success and will have you hooked from beginning to end. This film has so many twists and turns and keeps the audience guessing and wondering what will happen next! You will not be able to predict how this film goes and will be hooked and love it!! I bought this as I saw it on tv ages ago and got blown away!! I also wanted to buy the two disc edition and see the special features present as they promise not to disappoint!! If you have not seen this film it is worth seeing and another film to own as you will want to watch it again and again and again!! I love this film!! Easily one of the best story lines that i have come across, and the way that its put onto the screen is nothing short of genius.

Amazing film and actor brad pitt. The nail biting "oh my god" whats going to happen next, who did it, where are they, hes behind you kind of film that has you glued to the t.v, even if your falling asleep you cant help but force your eyes open till the end no matter how many times youve watched it!

I decided to purchase this product becuase a few years ago I watched the film by renting it from a video rental store. Now that I have grown a lot older ! i decided to put this film in my classic thriller collection (it up there with the best i.e Silence of the Lambs). This film just had to be purchased becuase it has great mysteries and puzzles along with two great actors being, Morgan Freeman and Brad Pitt who complemant each other superbly. Watch if you have not watched it but even if you have it will be great addition to your collection.

This is the best DVD I have ever had the experience to watch the enjoyment is the trying to work out who it is or why?
