Sennheiser HD 600 Consumer Headphones

These headphones are one of the best models on the market. It was a great chance to have them at a decent price, even though they are used. Product arrived well packed and in great condition, just as described.
Its always good when the transaction is swift once you have won the bid. I can certainly say this transaction was swift. The seller is a prime example of what Ebay should be about.

They have already given me many hours of listening pleasure.

For a while, these were Sennheiser's top model and I thought them discontinued. However, they still seem to be alive and kicking, which is a good thing in my view.

I tried to live with a pair and loved the open and very clear presentation on the whole. However, in my setting the sound breakthrough into the room beyond annoyed the wife sitting close by and after long term listening I found them strangely compressed in their portrayal of "dynamics." This may not have been the headphones fault I discovered years later to be fair, but something else in my audio system. A family member has his own music production studio and swears by them (he also used HD480's before) so I'm inclined to go with his recommendation.

They've good used prices too............

The first reviewer got it totally wrong when he described these headphones as closed-backed.

They are in fact open-backed.
