I liked the chart singles by Scouting For Girls so was tempted to buy the cd. I wasn't disappointed! The cd is packed full of great songs all unmistakably by this great, fresh and funky group. A change from the dross on offer in the charts, these guys write from the heart and I can picture them jumping around the stage to each and every tune on this cd. Lively and quirky, great lyrics and very up-beat, this cd is a must have if you like their chart tunes.

the released singles are very good as i already knew but the rest of the album is a bit average, the songs are quite monotonous! i did only pay like £4 though so definaetly worth that but i wouldnt bother spending more than £5 on it!

Having seen them live at iow festival & they were a real crowd pleaser! Just a great fun summer album to remind you of chilling out with a hundred thousand other people. It has all the favourites:she,s so lovely, Elvis aint dead Also great songs like I need a holiday & heartbeat. You will know most of the songs & find yourself singing along

Very good album, very catchy songs, great to listen to in the car. My favourite song is Heartbeat, which is Track 5.

I recommend this album to everyone, there is something for all on it.

This is a fantastic, feel good album for the summer. You'll find yourself singing along with the tracks in no time!

Scouting for Girls are a great band and as a result decided to purchase their latest CD. I found the CD to be in immaculate condition, as new, no scratches or marks but just great music. At least 15 tracks of great music, sound and tunes. I would mark this as an excellent buy via reputable seller.

I totally adore this band. So talented. This CD up lifts me. I bought it for my dad for fathers day and he adores it. Its always on in the car, the radio doesn't get a look in!

Great Album, with the classic's 'She's so lovely' & 'Heartbeat'. This will be listened to for years to come. Toe-tapping sing-a-long tunes from a great band. Highly Recommend 10/10

This was an album that snuck up on me. Kept hearing the single, "Elvis Ain't Dead" on local Manx radio, but they would never say who the band was (or I kept missing the intro). Eventually caught the name & went hunting on ebay for a copy of the album.
For a first effort, it is certainly better than most. Locked into a keyboard led, uptempo framework it is a catchy creation without descending into frothy pop. The current single, "Heartbeat" is an even stronger song than "Elvis". The "hidden" track at the end of the album dedicated to Michaela Strachan is a fitting closer to a satisfying listen.
Eleven cuts (incl. the hidden one) comes highly recommended but I can only hope that they will expand their musical vision for the next release

I BROUGHT THIS FOR A FATHERS DAY PRESENT AND THEY WHERE VERY PLEASED WITH THE CD,IT HAD A GOOD SELECTION OF SONG'S,GREAT CD

If you like the singles (you will probably like them all since they are practically the same style of music with very little variation), you will like the album.

Packed with great songs. This is one of those CD's where you can play the whole album without skipping a dud track here and there. Which is always a good feature for a CD to have.

If you like a little variation to the songs on your albums, stay clear of this CD. All of the tracks have the same beat, style and tempo.

So, overall, great if you like the singles and dont mind listening to the same music over and over again (which im sure you wont when the tracks are this good).

Not just the hit songs that have been released, but EVERY SONG on the CD is fantastic. You'll want to play the CD again and again and again - Watch out for the hidden track (after song 10) - it certainly made me smile.
Can't wait for their second CD to be released, if this one is anything to go by.
My recommended CD of 2007, buy it and see what I'm talking about - You won't be disappointed.
Oh, I have to mention that their lead vocalist and keyboard playing frontman, Roy Stride is one handsome chappie, what a bonus!.

Best album I have brought in a long time. Ever track is great, not just two or three as it normally goes with an album. Will play it to death I reckon!!

I purchased a Scouting for Girls CD from 2hammi2 - mtsteveson - and to date I have still not had the CD and he/she has had the money from my account - I have e-mailed him/her and have had no reply - DON'T BUY FROM THIS PERSON

This is a brilliant album, I can honestly say I love every song on it. You know there is always one or two that you skip passed, well not with this album. Scouting for Girls....can't stop singing along...great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

bought for my sons (age 12) birthday, he loved elvis isnt dead. the other tracks are somewhat slower - think he is going to be disappointed

I liked the singles, so I bought the album. Bought it on e-bay because the price in the shops was a little high for a pop album these days.

I'm glad I did, got a bargain, but really because although the three singles are great - the rest of the album is OK but sounds exactly the same.

There are 11 songs that could be the same song. They're OK, but after 6 or so you just get bored.

I'm still glad I got it, but really it's only for the singles.

As an artist, Scouting For Girls is a fine band. They're songs are catchy, successful, and I suppose something a bit unique in today's charts.
But buying this CD will not get you value for your money. Why? Because you are not buying 3 songs, or 7, or 12- you're buying one. Yes, technically there are several different tracks on this CD, but the songs are all so similar to each other that you won't notice the difference. In all honesty, the same chords are used through the whole album. The same theme is used in all of the songs. The same dynamics are held throughout every song on the album.
Then why are Scouting For Girls so successful? Why are their songs so catchy? I'll tell you why- because they don't seem to be intuitive or musically minded enough to try something new.
Take "Elvis Ain't Dead", for example. Just analyse the lyrics. Here they are:
"Elvis isn't dead, Elvis isn't dead, Elvis isn't dead 'cos I heard him on the radio.
Elvis isn't dead, Elvis isn't dead, Elvis isn't dead 'cos I heard him on the radio.
Elvis isn't dead, Elvis isn't dead, Elvis isn't dead 'cos I heard him on the radio."
The lyrics are as mind numbingly repeatative to listen to as they are to read or write. It takes you back to your school days when you had to rewrite something 100 times in detention.
"She's so lovely, she's so lovely, she's so lovely, she's so lovely, she's so lovely, she's so lovely, she's so lovely..." was another beautiful sequence from one of their songs.
And that's not even taking into account the tune of the songs, which as I mentioned earlier comprise of the same chords through the whole album.
If you like Scouting For Girls, then go ahead- I'm not going to try and stop you buying an album from an artist you love. But if you are in two minds about buying the album, then I suggest you save your money for something with a bit more variety.

This album is great! The songs are great for when you feel down, or like to remember things from your childhood, like he man!

Pop Tunes are a bit of a guilty pleasure and the Scouting for Girls album is no exception. The songs are bouncy and there is not a duff slow one on here. Some of the lyrics may be unconventional but this is a brilliant feel good cd.

Good album, a bit samey on some of the tracks, bought mainly for the 'she's so lovely' single which is fantastic & tends to be on repeat most of the time to be honest!

CD is excellent quality, a new sound which is different to most out at the moment, up and coming and a must purchase to have on with a few drinks whilst entertaining, chilling out having a bath or cleaning !!!
