I bought this to extend my Fleetwood Mac collection and was not disappointed. 'Say you will' is a superb album which I have listened to over and over. Stevie Nicks vocals never fail to please and combined with the quality of the band overall, just hook you in. A favourite song is 'Peacekeeper' with its powerful and quite disturbing lyrics and wonderful guitars. I hope they keep on producing stuff like this.
unmistakable fleetwood sound dominated by heavier buckingham nicks influence. no fillers just track after track of great music. if you still live in the seventies then pop on your rumours album, however if want to move on along with the mac then buy this album it is a must. buckingham is an absolute genius and although he can be a little self indulgent on his solo albums, he is much more a team player when he is with his family (the mac ). as opposed to earlier albums this one does without the flowery input of christine (excellent though she is) perfect/mcphee, and offers a more sinister upfront rock element that works an absolute treat.
It is rare but wonderful when a band you have always loved get back together and produce some really good music. This album shows that Fleetwood Mac still know how to write great songs and play beautifully together. Overall, the tracks sound new and original whilst incorporating touches and elements that are distinctly Fleetwood Mac. Personally, much as I love Lindsey Buckingham as a guitarist, it is Stevie Nicks songs eg Illume, Thrown Down, Say You Will that I find myself playing over and over. There is a depth of meaning and emotion, tempered by time and experience, in these songs that really speaks to me in ways I find hard to describe. A subtle, moving and pleasurable album.
