Samsung VP-D361 Mini DV Camcorder

l luv this camcorder easy to work and nice and compact so you dont feel like an idiot with some big monstrostity dont no if i spelt that right but you no what i mean the zoom is fab i just luv everything about it its idiot proof

I already had one of these, which had been damaged on the view screen when the camera fell out of my car. I bought this unit to replace the damaged one, and in the event actually took both cameras apart and built one good one out of the parts. The camera bought on eBay had a couple of faults, but the screen was OK and now I have one good working unit, and some spares. This is a cheap camera, but good value for money. I future I would buy a DVD or HD unit; tape is not so easy to transcribe onto computer.

Only fault I can find is higher than expected mech. noise from the tape drive
which is recorded to cass.

Although the Cam has an external Mic input
which would eliminate this.

Feedback on this seller was excellent and so I decided to take a chance. The camcorder sent was indeed brand new but not the same model as I thought I was buying - it was in fact a better model (VP-D371 DV not the VP-361). The seller was contacted and allowed me to keep the model sent. The same camcorder is currently on sale at Currys for £50 more than I paid for it. It works exactly as I expected. All in all I got a very good deal. I despair at those individuals who moan about the fact that their purchase did not come with a bag or tape. None were advertised so how can you expect one?

The VP-D361 Samsung camcorder is very simple to use, and you find all the things that you find in much more expensive camcorders had a few camcorders in the past but this is one of the best I had.
I strongly recommend for the first buyer because it is very simple to use with excellent results.

A great camera fo the price. Compact, looks nice and does what it says on the tin. Packed with features and has a great 33x optical Zoom. This model also has a external Mic socket so you can connect up a external sound source to record instead of the internal mic.

Only negative thing I can find is that the battery doesn't seem to last as long as I'd expect.

I had previous knowledge of this camcorder. It produces very good results generally in "movie" mode,but don't buy it for the "still" quality,the results are indifferent (Ok for family snaps in full sunlight). Finding one's way round the various menus is a bit tedious.

I bought it because the price was about half the high st price --a saving of £65

I managed to get this camcorder for what I think is is great value, it may not have the latest digital card slots but does everything else I need to record my family and holidays. Top kit.

The quality of playback on sdhd (1080i) tv is very good . It is very easy to use and it is very well laid out.
The zoom is good , the sound is good and it is very easy to charge.
The only poor thing I could say for this camera is that playback on FULLHD tv (1080p) is a little fuzzy but for this price what do you expect?!
Out of ten I would give it 9.
