Samsung BD-P1500 / XEU Blu-Ray Player

Having previously owned a samsung BD-P1000 bluray player,which i found to push out a superb picture once it had finaly loaded the disc (3-4 minutes).
I decided to purchase a Samsung BD-P1500, at the time their flag ship model.The first thing i noticed was the player took no longer than 40 seconds to load the disc,this may seem a long time compared to your standard dvd player,but remember a bluray disc has upto 4 times more information to load...this was a great improvement on my previosly owned BD-P1000.The optical side of the BD-P1500 seemed far superior to that of the earlier model (BD-P1000).Most impressive about this dvd player was its ability to play standard dvd,s at a far superior definition to that veiwable on a standard dvd player,however do not expect true hd content to be shown when playing standard discs as these are far behind the times in the content of bluray,but i would say show twice as much detail as if they were played via standard dvd players even the top of the range ones.The player comes with hdmi (gold plated) input.The remote is superb looking and very easy to navigate.Obviosly being samsung the player comes with *anynet*compatability this meens that if hooked upto a Samsung tv you can use the tv remote to operate the bluray player via the tv remote.The looks of this player are absolutly beautifull,finished in the Samsung gloss black finish and neon blue lighting on the display (which can be dimmed via the remote)IN MY OPINION THIS BLURAY PLAYER WILL EXCEED ALL YOUR EXPECTATIONS OF VEIWING BLURAY MATERIAL AND STANDARD DVD,ESPECIALLY AS THEY ARE AVAILABLE NOW FOR LESS THAN £200 on-line.DO NOT DELAY IF YOU HAVE THE SPARE CASH AND WANT TO UPGRADE TO BLUERAY...GET ONE OF THESE.A QUALITY BUILT MACHINE,PUSHING OUT A TRUE 1080p SIGNAL....*******UNBELIEVABLE*******

This player is an excellent addition to any 1080p tv. I was impressed with how easy the set up was and also the quality of picture is superb. I have it connected to a Samsung LE40M87BDX lcd tv and it complements the set very well.

Very to use and so far no problems to report.
