Jennifer Aniston leads an all-star cast in this romantic comedy from director Rob Reiner. Recently engaged, aspiring journalist Sarah Huttinger (Aniston) still isn't sure what she wants from life. But on her way home to attend her sister's wedding, Sarah meets an Internet billionaire (Kevin Costner) who reveals some long-buried secrets about Sarah's family that put a whole new spin on her past -- and may change the direction of her future.
I have to say that when I saw the cast of this film I was very sceptical as I'm not a great fan of Aniston, Costner or MacLaine. However I was pleasently suprised as this proved to be a casting masterstroke. Aniston was superb in the lead role when she discovers that her grandmother (Maclaine) is the real Mrs Robinson... yes THAT Mrs Robinson!
This is a charming, witty and intelligent comedy that is slightly different from the usual RomComs around. Definately worth watching.
The movie started a little iffy to me,I was unsure whether I liked it during the first 20 minitues but as time went on I began liking the movie more.Overall,a good movie, not Jennifer Aniston's best but it was enjoyable
Rumour Has It is a great chick flick which I initially watched on Sky Movies. Being a Kevin Costner fan and the smooth characters that he plays I found that I was not disappointed with him in this. I was introduced to the great Shirley MacLaine who played the part of the grandmother - her character is glamorous, straight talking - no holds barred and she plays the part well and I found myself laughing at her all through the film. I am not a Jennifer Aniston fan, however I did enjoy her role within this film and was hoping that her and Costner got together at the end of the film, however that was not meant to be! What an interesting ending that would have been. I can imagine that many people would have watched this film thinking this could have been written about us! Definately worth a viewing despite many critics knocking it. Great for a girls night in with bubbly and chocs. A nice feel good film.
What a movie - the hunk Kevin Costner teamed with Jennifer Aniston. A great storyline based on the brilliant original story of the Graduate (Mrs Robinson)... good entertainment, great actors. If you like clean entertainment then this is for you ... a love story, a comedy a little bit of everything rolled into one movie. Watched it several times already - I think Costner might be the reason for that too !
I really enjoyed this film, great storyline all the characters were very believable. Excellent acting by all of the cast, very funny and very moving too. Would definately watch this one again!
Sometimes movies have bad reviews and they turn out to be great, this had bad reviews and it was worse than bad, Even with costner in it, A real shame because he's usually great, dont buy this trust me!!!!!.
This is a great film, sad and funny. I thoughly enjoyed watching it and will carry on watching it. I bought this film because i am a Friends fan and also like Jennifer Aniston films, i have others with her in which i have really enjoyed so when i saw this going for a really good price i knew i had to grab a bargain where money will not be wasted.
Jennifer who plays Sarah Huttinger returns home with her fiance who convinces her that the sedate, proper,country- club lifestyle of her family isn't for her and that maybe the Huttinger family isn't hers. Sarah then sets off on a journey to try and discover who her father is and learns from secrets that the Huttinger family is nor sedate or proper!! If you want laughs then it is well worth watching this film.
This is a really funny and sad movie i really loved this, the reason i brought it in the first place was i'm a big friends fan and then when i watch it i thought money well spent so if you want to buy do so because it is worth every penny.
