great film, clasic, have watched it over and over again. Richard Gere is so sexy in this, he makes me feel young again

this dvd is one of the best girly rom coms i've seen, and even though its a few years old now it's still a dvd you can watch time and time again

This has to be one of my all time favourite films - I have never counted how often I've watched it! Its such a nice film and obviously and happy ending always helps! Julia Roberts is just gorgeous in this and Richard Gere is to die for!

A typical 'Cinderella' love story but fun to watch. Good for a rainy Saturday afternoon with a glass of wine when you don't want anything heavy or intense.

Pretty woman is the best film, i love it so much,I got great value from this seller and i would buy again. Ebaying is the best way to shop.

this film is an all time fave of mine it is funny romantic sad all of the above and this film also shows no matter what mastakes you have made there still is always an corner you can turn to start over agen this film is very recomended!

A feel good factor film purchased for a relaxing evening, - total switch off. Igniting memories of the past, good music a simple but heartwarmimg story.

i bought it because its a classic girls night in film that every woman should have a copy of in there video or dvd collection. we;d been looking for it for a while in HMV etc but it was still expensive so we bought it from here

Great film i love it could watch it again and again this is something you just have to buY! This is better then going on a world tour. And Gere looks real hot in it :P! funny entertainment. 10 outa 10

Having converted most of my old video collection to DVD I was thrilled to find this film gem in digital format. If you watch this in widescreen format, it really does the battle scene great justice; coupled with surround sound, you'll be gripped by the amazing cinematography. I would recommend the director's cut that includes scenes about the relationship between the lead character and his estranged wife and helps you to understand the motivation behind his decision. The run time is 183 minutes for the directors cut and 120 minutes for the cinema version. I was, however, disappointed by the lack of extras, which any fan of this classic would expect to be included. There's only a 20-minute interview with the director and other shot "making-of" vignettes

Richard Gere and Julia Roberts co-star in this wonderful romantic comedy. When Edward Lewis, a rich industrialist played by Richard Gere, searches to locate his Beverly Hills hotel, he encounters Vivian Ward, a Hollywood prostitute played by Julia Roberts. Vivian is suddenly swooped up into an extremely rich fantasy world, when she is hired by Edward Lewis as a date for an entire week.

Julia Roberts is perfect in her role as a prostitute, taken into a world where anything you could desire is just a call away. She usually has only enough clients to just get her rent paid while living with her drug-addicted roommate. Since Vivian did not graduate from high school, she has chosen prostitution as the only way of getting a higher paying job, rather than working in fast food restaurants.

But now with Edward Lewis in her life, Vivian is living in a hotel suite that has a bathroom as big as her entire apartment and many people to wait on her hand and foot. As Edward Lewis's date, she has to dress the part and encounters the snobbish, Hollywood culture of Rodeo Drive. After being asked to leave an exclusive boutique, Vivian is totally lost and does not know how to learn to dress and eat at a high class restaurant. She desperately asks the help of the hotel manager at the Beverly Hills Hotel where she and Lewis are staying. The manager decides to come to her aid in order to please Lewis, one of his best customers. Later, the hotel boutique manager works with Vivian changing everything about her appearance from hair to shoes, giving her a stunning and elegant look.

Richard Gere is very convincing as Edward Lewis, showing a cool calculating manner that is totally involved in winning his business deals. He spends day and night on the phone, planning his next move and meeting with his lawyer, not even taking a day off. But that changes when Vivian enters the picture.

Both Edward Lewis and Vivian Ward come from extreme ends of society and could not be more different. However, they do share one thing in common; they both use their clients in a cold, unemotional manner. But later on, what begins as a business contract quickly evolves into much, much more.

This a delightful, romance that will keep you guessing from moment to moment what is happen next with this odd couple of fascinating people.

Nothing adverse to say about this purchase. I wanted to have the DVD because it is one of my favourite films - a film I think is watchable over and over again. It was brand new as advertised and in its original packing. Only compliments, no complaints at all.

This is one of my favourite films, and I'd already seen it numerous times before buying it on DVD. It has a real feel-good factor about it. Quite apart from the stunning Julia Roberts and the good-looking Richard Gere, there is also Hector Elizondo who plays the understated hotel manager who quietly and efficiently gets on with his job. There are some brilliant comedy moments such as Gere saying to Elizondo "I think we both know she's not my niece!" There is also Jason Alexander who plays the instantly dislikeable lawyer, and his increasing incredulity that his high powered client seems to be taking multi million dollar deals with such a pinch of salt.

All in all, a great film.

I watched it before and I enjoyed it so I decided to own a copy but when I received it I was disappointed because It would not play on my DVD player. It turned out to be a copy probably from China. Waste of money on this item.

Felt cheated out of a good Julia roberts movie, having bought a few excellent ones this was rather dissapointing had a friend advice me to watch this and stands by that it's an excellent love story, however Julia roberts and working girl should never be mixed, would highly recommend, step-mum, americas sweethearts or nottinghill before this.

My daughter is currently updating her videos for D.V.D.`S so I have purchased this for her for Christmas. The price was right, and although I have not yet played it, it appears to be in good condition.

I enjoy watching the film so much that I wanted to upgrade from video to DVD.
It is easy to watch so enables you to relax and feel comfortable.

I bought this dvd because i had the tape version,, but it didnt have the end and because it is one of my favourite films. I dont like that on the actual dvd he picture that aslo appears on the fron of the box is a quite unclear.I do like that the quailty of the picture is excellent and it was all in good condition.
