Unusual film about a woman whose husband was killed in a car crash (or was he), next day she wakes up he's alive, then he's dead again, then alive. On the whole a good film that keeps you guessing right until the end, but ultimatly I felt let down by the explanation and was left with more questions than answers. Sixth sense it aint but well worth a look.
Linda Hanson (Sandra Bullock) has a beautiful house, a loving husband and two adorable daughters. Her life is perfect, until the day she gets the devastating news that her husband Jim (Julian McMahon) has died in a car accident. When she wakes up the next morning to find him alive and well, she assumes it was all a dream. Or was it? Suddenly, her perfect life is turned upside down as she begins a desperate scramble to save her family and uncover the truth. Racing against time and fate, Linda will stop at nothing to discover the true meanings of reality and destiny.
i decided to buy this item as i loved the film when it came out and had been looking everywhere for it. i found it on e-bay new for a very reasonable price. i was very happy with my purchase.
this film was gripping, it was a bit difficult to follow at first but you soon get the feel of the film, the cast are great and this still left me thinking even after the final credits rolled. Highly reccommened. will keep you asking questions after!!!
A gripping psychological thriller that will have you guessing from start to finish. Really enjoyed film and enjoyed it when first saw it on its release in the cinema. Couldnt wait to purchase it on dvd.
Bought this dvd on ebay for 99p! bargain. Great film, convincing role by Sandra Bullock, was so that I felt like screaming for her in frustration. Couldn't guess what was going to happen next, or the ending. A little like the film MOMENTO as in going back in scenes, or GROUNDHOG DAY but instead of each day getting better the opposite happens. Great one to watch, keeps you gripped.
I bought this dvd as I had seen an advert for it on tv. At first couldn't remember its title. After lots of research found the title and bought the dvd. Well worth the research. Loved the twist and turns in the plot and very surprised at the ending.
I found Premonition a very watchable psychological thriller. It is not your typical Hollywood happy ending so makes this film quite unique. It features an alternative ending, albeit short, yet putting another spin on it. Also featured are deleted scenes, blooper reel, the making of and real life premonitions. An overall enjoyable film.
I selected this film because I like Sandra Bullock having just watched the Lake House and missed this particular film when it came out on cinema. I was a little disappointed as the film is a little strange to say the least. The film kept you riveted to your seat I think because you had to concentrate quite hard. The film concentrated on Sandra who was a stay at home mum, her husband and their two little daughters. Sandra's character woke up one morning at the end of the week, her husband was gone and a policeman came to the door to tell her that her husband had been killed in a car accident. She would then live out that week for a while, the funeral, her mum coming to stay, etc. Then she would wake and it would be the present day and her husband was with her. This would then happened several times - different things would then happen during the week which she dreamed about, like in one of her premonitions her eldest daughter's face was awash with stitches and she couldn't explain how they got there - everyone thinking that she had done this terrible thing and Sandra being taken away screaming of course to a psychiatric hospital. So some premonitions would became reality and some didn't. Like she was playing out different scenarios. She then wrote down the sequence in what would happen during the fatal week - like her daughter going through a glass window. In one of her premonitions an extremely attractive woman attended her husband's funeral crying. She then found out that the woman worked with her husband and that there was something going on between them. She, of course, was very upset by his betrayal and then from wanting to save his life, she now became confused and wondered whether she should just let him die. After a while she then realised how much she loved her husband and tried to save their marriage which had become routine and stale. You then see how she tries to save her marriage and her husband's life.
I think it is a film you would have to watch several times, to understand all the comings and goings, as at times it is quite confusing from what she sees may happen and then what actually becomes reality.
All the characters played their parts very well, Sandra Bullock and Julian McMahon playing the main parts.
I loved this film, it had Suspense, frustration and pure feeling in it. Sandra Bullock re lives every day to find her husband dead, then alive then dead again and it goes on. This film was brilliant, it didnt leave me, i had it it my head for days, hard to explain but one of those films you really get into.
This is one of those films that you cannot miss a second of,,,,Sandra Bullock at her best. Excellent story line A+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
I found this movie compelling and gives an insight into the unknown power of the human mind and the sixth sense. The plot see's Sandra Bullock as an ordinary housewife who is increasingly tormented by vivid premonitions revolving around the imminent 'death' of her husband in a road accident. Here and there, the premonitions take you to and fro trying to work out what is going to happen-rather like piecing together a large jigsaw. The final piece is the TWIST!!!
Thank you so much for the DVD it was delivered fast and the quality is superb. I am extremley happy with my buy as i have looked everywhere and i am so glad i finally got to watch it.
The film really is quite difficult to watch with flashbacks and flashforwards, the audience really do wonder what is actually happening a lot of the time. I appreciate this is the way the director wanted it to be, but it means you get left with a whole lot of questions.
Closer to the end it all falls into place which unfortunately means the ending is a bit too predictable.
All in all, sort of leaves you a bit flat at the end.
Had heard a few bad reviews of this film but thought I would give it a go and was enthralled by it. The storey line and plot were brilliant and I definately didnt predict the ending. It was a bit confusing to begin with but once realised the plot it had me sitting on the edge of my seat.
And it didnt have any violence or swearing in which made a nice change!
this film was ok but its very hard to explain it. its one u have to watch and really watch it to understand it. but i guess its ok. i have seen it now and at least i can say that
excellant film , i had to watch it twice as the story line leaves you a wee bit confused and wondering if sandra bollock had lost her marbles ,but as it turns out she had dreamed of her husbands death julian mcmahon, and dreams of it several times and in the end he does die, still an excellant film a must to watch
