IS THIS THE LAST CLASSIC ALBUM FROM MAIDEN?
I'M SURE IRATE MAIDEN FANS WILL DISAGREE BUT,IN MY HUMBLE OPINION,THIS REPRESENTS THE LAST TRULY GREAT ALBUM BY THE BAND,THUS FAR.ALL THE ALBUMS THAT HAVE FOLLOWED THIS HAVE THEIR MOMENTS,ESPECIALLY FEAR OF THE DARK AND THE MOST RECENT ALBUM,BUT FOR CONSISTENCY AND FLASHES OF BRILLIANCE,THIS BEATS THEM ALL.IGNORING THE SINGLES,ACES HIGH AND TWO MINUTES TO MIDNIGHT,THE REST OF THE ALBUM HAS THE UTTERLY MAGNIFICENT TITLE TRACK,GREAT INSTRUMENTAL "LOSFER WORDS",FANTASTIC "FLASH OF THE BLADE" AND THEN FINISHES ON ONE OF THE BEST TRACKS THE BAND HAVE EVER DONE,"RHYME OF THE ANCIENT MARINER".FIRST CLASS SONGS,PRODUCTION,ARTWORK,PLAYI

I bought it because I only ever had it on vinyl but it got damaged in one of my many moves. CD's are so much easier to carry and much more robust!!

Powerslave CDI brought this because I am replacing my old vinyl collection and wanted it on my i-pod. It has some great tracks on like the title track, Aces High and 2 minutes to midnight.

Here we have a classic Iron Maiden album from the golden era of spandex and big hair! This is one of my faves from their long and distinguished career as gods of the original metal movment. This includes the Ryme Of The Ancient Mariner, a thirteen minute epic of moody and atmospheric music that brings the old Albatross back to life. The title track takes you back to ancient eygpt and the time of pyramids and pharaoh's with a tale of death and life. Also includes Lost For Words, a fast paced instrumental track. If you enjoy classic metal then buy it, and pay homage to the Gods that are Iron Maiden!
