Being a massive Beatles fan I just have to give this a 5 star rating. They produced some of the best music of the last 40+ years. This is proven by the fact that I had great trouble in actually buying this album on Ebay,I kept being outbid. At least I managed to buy it in the end & it is still great music.
The Beatles are perhaps the greatest popular musicians of all time, and when you listen to this album you will understand why. Not their best album, but still plenty of incredible songs on here - that will never go out of date. Incredible Stuff. Guaranteed something for everyone. Everything from the Sleeve to the music is Legendary - Plus in HMV/Virgin these beatles albums are always around 12-15 so grab yourself a bargain.
i bought this cd as my original 1963 vinyl version was just about worn out. it is the rawness that makes this a great album, and i would go as far as to say that this is one of the best albums they ever made. if you like good old fashioned rock and roll then this is for you.
i have always liked the beatles and it was great to be able to get in my opinion the best album of theirs on cd and it was as good as i remembered it to be
Having been a Rolling Stones fan in the sixties, I didn't bother buying the Beatles albums, in fact the only Beatles record I ever bought was the single "Help". I have been slowly buying Beatles albums as they appear on Ebay at a price I am prepared to pay. The early Beatles albums have some really good songs on them and they also bring back memories of parties I attended in the sixties when these vinyl albums where played just about all night. Jim
As I recall this was the first LP recorded by Ther Beatles as the fab four when Ringo Starr joined forces with John, Paul, and George, Pete Best having parted company. This was the LP that rocketed The Beatles to worldwide fame, and whilst available generally at record collectors fairs etc , are very expensive to purchase especially in vinyl format. Some excellent early tracks, an LP which most pop music enthusiasts sat up and took notice.
