david attenborough has done it again. 0ut of this world!.five dvds in the box everyone simply brilliant. i do not own a hd television and i dont beleive i need one, the photography is still fantastic.

Planet Earth, is in my opinion the best natural history film ever made. I decided to buy it because it was on DVD which would show it in all its glory

I bought this item as I love to watch nature. I dont always have time to view tv much so miss alot of what i like. I bought this dvd set so i could watch it as often as i like when i'm not busy. I dont take feelings into account of my viewing.I watch only what interests me and so i only buy what im interested in and value for money.

This DVD set arrived quickly and was very pleased as it is in excellent mint looking condition. My children love nature documentaries and this is an outstanding series from the BBC. Can't fault this choice at all. I am very pleased with this purchase !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The picture it is breath taking. The narrating it from David Attenborough what makes this fantastic series even more dramatic. Many of the shots where very special and my spetial one is it when he starts to speak about how the water creates and shapes our planet.

This is a 1080i version of the BBC planet earth tv series narrated by David Attenborough. The photography is just stunning and brings an entirely new dimension to the content. Lots of aerial shots in high def provide a dizzying point of view of some of the most spectacular natural history camera work available. This set is fantastic, absorbing and amazing all at once and I cannot recommend it highly enough.

My only complaint is that it is not available in 1080p.

I love these series. The Quality and shoots are just amazing. This is the kind of educational video you can see again and again. Love it! It is just amazing what we have as hour habitation.

Just a Brilliant DVD series. I have never seen footage like it, for example massive sharks jumping meters out of the water to catch a seal. Well worth a watch.

I have always been a fan of Attenborough. This is truly superb in terms of educational entertainment. A tribute to all those involved in the making of this work.

The breath of the series is all encompassing, yet split into managable hour long chunks. Personal favorites are the polar bears and the cave systems, some truely fascinating footage throughout. The 'behind the scenes' feels a little overdone, but it is interesting to see the work that has gone into making something something is remarkable.

Awesome boxset which I was lucky enough to win on Ebay for a great price. All the reviews written already for this are spot on and justify this breathtaking masterpiece.
Something you can watch over again and now with the boxset have the chance to watch seperately.This series of programs is without doubt compilation of the best geographical/wild life documentary ever filmed.Topped off with that you have Sir David Attenborough who adds to the completion of this HD glory DVD set.

This is a rare occassion to see the earth at its natural best. Once you have watched these DVDs you will want to watch them over again, as the scenes are stunning - very enjoyable.

THIS WAS ONE DVD TO POSSESS AS IT UNRAVELS THE TREASURES OF THIS PLANET. I HAVE HEARD AND ONLY SEEN ONE EPISODE OF THIS DOCUMENTARY AND WAS FASCINATED BY THE EARTH WONDERS AND HOW IT HAS BEEN CAPTURED ON FILM. PROBABLY THE MOST BEAUTIFULLY PRESENTED DOCUMENTARY OF THIS PLANETS OF ALL TIMES!

this dvd is briliant full of facts wonderfull filming this dvd is the complete series made by the bbc and includes 5 dvds and they are narrated by david attenborough this dvds has everything from snow leopards to the mountains and from elephants to underwater AMAZING if you love dvds with all natural history from animals to our planet this is a must for your collection this dvd is the best i have ever bought it made me laugh and in parts cry.it takes you on a unforgettable journey through the challenging seasons and the daily struggle for survival in earths most extreme habitats

If you are interested in finding out more about the planet we live in and its inhabitanta then this is a great one. This will not date (unlike films) and can be watched many times. I have now gone through all the DVD's twice and enjoyed it as much as I did the first the second time.

I actually watched this on Blu Ray, where the high definition pictures really blew me away.

But it's the footage itself that's really engaging. After each episode I couldn't wait to watch the next.

I particularly liked the time lapse photography showing forest growth and also underwater scenes. How the team got some of those shots amazes me.

David Attenboroughs' narration is as usual second to none.

Even if you you don't normally watch this kind of thing, I'd highly recommend giving it a chance.

Perhaps the most engaging documentaries ever! I normally find these sort of programs dull, but planet earth is perhaps the most dramatic and creative program on TV.

The film work is second to none, including anything seen in hollywood; from the birds eye views of the rocky mountains, to the close up images, it really is spectacular stuff!

Of course the presenting is done perfectly by the one and only David Attenborough!

Basically, if you haven't already seen it, buy it!
