I have been collecting Prince since 1982 and almost every album has been better than the last. This album has everything that true prince fans will recognise and appeciate, from ballads to kick-ass feel good tunes. N.P.G is a way of life.

best thing he's done for years funk,jazzy,smooth and classly.
prince albums have hailed as a return to form.
"guitar" stands out as a really cachy tune.
miss this album at your peril,because this is an album not to be missed!

Not the best I have heard from this artist, but still good.
I think earlier tracks are much better, they are less contrived in their meaning. I never feel all peices have to have a 'heavy'philosophical message.
Just me I suppose ?

WEll i've listened to the CD twice, and i'm not 100% sure yet, is the honest answer.. prince fans will like it, none prince fans may not be sure
It is not up to the standard of the albums produced during his 1980s high-water period - Purple Rain, 1999 and Sign 'O' the Times - but it is by no means terrible...
This is a real mix - it's got the funky bass, cheesy-in-a-good-way keyboards, and that screaming Purple Rain guitar.
so its fair to say it has a bit of everything,

WOW From the Opening track it gives a challanging message to us all. What would you do if..Then t2 Guitar, wow I can see him now in full overdrive live in concert on this one. Lion of Judah, harsh strike my enemies down an line from the good book but seems so today and now. A Brilliant album 10 tracks. Thanks Prince for the guts to get it out there give it to us in the "Mail" so we can all enjoy. What will only be classified as the best concert ever. Markd
