Philips RQ1051 Electric Shaver

I looked at all the reviews before buying this razor.Some great reports and some bad reports,but in the end purchased one off ebay for a fraction of the retail price.Good thing i did not go to boots and buy one,because they are just not worth that sort of money.Trimmer not big enough,not very sturdy,and no case to put it in.But on the other hand,WHAT A GREAT CLOSE SHAVE.

This item is probably the best item that i have bought in my entier life because it shaves every single hair of, from massive to tiny, Big To small etc. I would recommend this item to everyone else.

I have found this electric shaver very practical & handy. It is quicker & easier than a wet shave, and provides just as close shave.
It has a handy trimmer & is very easy to clean & charge.
Overall I rate as a good worthwhile purchase & have no regrets!

- Not a quick shave, you keep having to go over the same areas
- Not worth full price, worth about a third or RRP

when i was younger i tried electric shavers and they were crap till i got one of these, it even shaves under my chin where i had difficulty getting smooth wet shaving, this one is fantastic, takes you about a week to get used to the difference but now i can shave while drinking my coffee in the morning getting really smooth, smoother than wet shaving! and saving time, and i have a very thick beard. every man should have one!

i was in need of a new electric shaver and phillips shavers are well known for reliabillity,i will say it is equal to a wet shave,and i am really pleased with my purchase.

First of all the product I purchased was extremely expensive in the High street shops. After looking on E.Bay I was amazed at just how much cheaper the exact same item was.At first I was a little bit dubious as to how the product would be,but it came in A1 CONDITION and packaged very well. This was a Gift for my father so am very very pleased with the whole outcome. Since this purchase I have now been buying other items.

This is an excellent shaver giving a really smooth shave. I have always used a wet razor having tried electrics unsuccessfully years ago but then tried my sons RQ1051 for a couple of days. I was amazed at how good these shavers are.
Although expensive when new, I got on e bay an unwanted Xmas present for £60.00 and it has been a real bargain. Easy to use, very close shave and stays charged for at least a week. Up to now I have no complaints and would certainly buy another one and retail price

Really close shave. Perhaps not the quietest shaver but not a big concern. But the quality of the shave is superb. First day and it stings a bit, but they say to wait two weeks for your skin to get used to it and previous experience with other shavers gives me confidence it will settle down.

I decided to buy a new Philips shaver after my 20 year old Philips rotary finally started to give up and 3 days ago purchased the RQ1051 and realised my mistake after using it for the first time.
The shaver heads turn so slowly that the hairs are pulled out rather than cut and you have to go over the same spot many times to get a decent shave, it performs much the same as a cheap battery powered shaver you could pick up at the market for a fiver, it really is rubbish and probably the worst I have ever used, it will be going on Ebay for the best offer and I will buy something that performs as it should, save your money and buy something better, I learnt the hard way.
