Peter Kay - Live At Manchester Arena (DVD)

I've given this 4/5. The show itself actually deserves 5/5 but if you've got 'Live at Bolton Albert Halls' do NOT buy this. For some reason they have marketed the DVD as though it is a show in it's own right to fool excited fans. It's almost (except for the odd joke) word for word the same). It's hilarious so if you haven't seen Bolton or Manchester definitely buy one of them but please don't be fooled into buying it. Very, very funny - the man's a comedy legend already!

Peter Kay at his funniest live at the Manchester Arena is well funny and sees Peter Kay at his best telling a mix of very good familly jokes with hardly any profanity.
An excellent comedy viewing for all the familly, a must see. Includes the tour documentary that reveals what went on behind the scenes of Britain's biggest ever stand up tour with stand-up from peter that is seen for the first time.
Also inclludes Is This The Way To Amarillo original video & an exclusive new version.
This DVD is stand-up comedy at it's best.

I love his actions and also the funny woman in the audience. fabulous i decided to buy it cos i'm collecting comedy dvd's for my holidays and peter kay lightens the mood anytime.

would have scored a lot higher but as other people have already stated this is an almost idetical copy of the bolton albert hall dvd the extras on the dvd were the only new things i hadnt seen before

An excellent DVD. The final show of the sell out 'Mum wants a bumgalow tour'. Peter Kay at his very best.. this show will have you laughing from start to finish. Some of his favoutite catch phrases.. 'Garlic Bread'.. 'Cheese Cake'. A dvd you can watch again and again. Highly Recommended!

Usual Peter Kay quality in terms of the comedy, but a bit on the short side when compared to most of his DVD's and in fact other Stand Up DVD's.

Great dvd peter kay is so funny he is the best comedian around. His jokes are hilarious i was rolling all over the floor with laughter and so was my family, i would love to go see him live but he isn't touring atm which a shame.

The dvd is must even if your not a fan of peter kay tghen you will be after watching this dvd.

I Bought this dvd because peter kay is one of my fav comedians, this dvd was average it just seemed to be all the jokes from his previous dvd releases, still full of laughs but there wasn't much new material. Still worth buying peter kay is very animated and funny

my daughter bought this as a christmas present for her friend, they are all 13 years old. I thought it was a bit near the mark for their age group, but if you dont let them experience it, they will anyway. must admit i was glad it wasnt staying in our house!! She pre watched it first (cheeky) & was laughing all the time. So all in all she must have thought it was a great buy. Each to their own as they say.

I just think that Peter Kaye is an excellent entertainer. He is even funny to look at. I bought the DVD as it was recommended to me at a time when I was feeling very down. It was a great pick me up.

I like this dvd because Peter Kay is a talent that brings a smile on your baddest day, feeling down just put this on to lift your spirits. This guy is a genius.

I bought this as I caught a snippet of it in ITV and really enjoyed it... I then had the impossible job of trying to find it in the shops... Even the Giants like ASDA didn't have it.. Eventually found it in HMV for £20! Don't know why I didn't save myself the trek and look on Ebay in the first place! The DVD is completely genuine and a true bargain... Peter Kay is genius so I am well chuffed!

Too much of the material repeats that included in the Blackpool and Bolton DVDs, however on the more positive side the disc contains a superb 'behind the scenes' documentary. That alone makes this an essential purchase for Peter Kay fans such as myself. Also included is the Comic Relief 'Amarillo' video plus an hilarious 'alternate' take that goes behind the scenes of the original video shoot.

If forced to rate this title on a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give it 7. Had the live performance contained new material (and lasted longer!) then a 9 or 10 may have been in the offing!

Personally I'd recommend that if you only buy one Peter Kay DVD it should be 'Live at the Bolton Halls'. It's rip roaringly hilarious from beginning to end!

This was a really funny dvd, one that could be watched with the parents!
Recently read Peter Kays autobiography and wanted to see him perform live.

A great DVD. As well as the main show, the DVD also has a 'behind the scenes' documentary about the sell-out tour. We really enjoyed watching it when it arrived. It was just a shame that the whole thing (including the documentary) was shown on Channel 4 the following week! Still, it was fairly cheap to buy, and it's good to have to watch another time.

I purchased the Peter kay DVD because I like his quick, natural humor about everyday matters. I was however disappointed to discover how short a viewing time there was - 45 minutes of his Manchester performance. There is no indication how long it lasts on the packaging.

If you already have, or have seen Peter Kay live at the Bolton Albert halls.....Then you have seen this! It's exactly the same.

bought as a birthday present,we love peter kay as he always makes us laugh. plus it was a good price.

This dvd was more than i expected, peter kay is just fantastic, I would recommend this dvd, I was going to see him live but i thought i would see the dvd first.
From this i will be seeing him on his next tour.

Great for those who dont already have the live at bolton albert hall dvd as the material is taken from that stand up tour. It has some good extras like Peter talking about the tour. He is really funny and I love the Bolton Albert hall dvd so i would recomend buying that one over this one.

One of the funniest things I have seen in years! Peter Kay is a genius and I laughed so much I was crying! The reason it is all so funny is because you know he is telling the truth, for example the section about weddings and DJ's, everyone has been to a wedding like that and everyone has met that DJ! You will want to watch it over and over again and you will never get bored!

Peter Kay, the man is a legend. A lot of comedians release shoddy dvd's with generic features and content that are all too similar, esspecially around xmas time. Well, thankfully Kay is an exception. His discs contain a mountain of laughs within his top quality stand up performances. His gags are for all ages - and include nostalgia wit - the very mention of Bullseye hits the spot everytime. You will have a smile from ear to ear when watching this. DING DANG DO!
