Great Slim Massive Touch Screen and Simple to Use
4 of 4 people found this review helpful.
Pentax has always been the Best when it comes to Camera's which is the Reason I chose this Camera.
The Massive Touch Screen makes the Preview Screen so easy to Use and Navigate around the Menus.
On the Top of the Camera is the ON/OFF button and the TAKE PHOTO button along with the Zoom Dial around the TAKE PHOTO button.
No Complicated buttons just these 3 things on the Top.
When taking a Photo you can just touch the screen anywhere and the 4 Main Option Groups will appear.
With a quick touch on the screen you can change to Video Mode, Night Mode, Landscape Mode, Flower Mode, Portrait Mode, Blur Reduction or the One I use Auto Picture (Automatically Select the Best Capture Mode).
Another quick touch can choose Auto Flash, Flash Off, Flash On, Auto + Red Eye, Flash On + Red Eye, Soft Flash.
Another Touch take you to the options of Self Timer and Remote Control
And the Last Touch Option takes you to the Different Focus Modes. Standard, Macro, Pan Focus, Infinity, Manual Focus.
You can also touch to change the LCD Display. Standard, Standard + Histogram, No Info, LCD OFF.
A Memo Pad to draw on is also there if you touch MEMO PAD.
A BACK ARROW simpy takes you back a step.
On the Main Screen when taking a Photo is the number of Photos can be taken until the Memory is full, The Battery Power, Time and Date, and Mode (AUTO at present).
Mine has a 1GB Memory Card in which I purchased from Tescos for £9.99 and Holds 287 Photos at the 7Megapixel and 3 Star Quality.
The Quality options are found in the Menu which isnt touch entered.
The Menu button is to the right of the LCD Screen and has all the Quailty Options along with Sound options and General Settings.
You have a choice of 7M, 5M, 4M, 3M, 2M or 640 Pixels.
And a choice of 1 , 2 or 3 Star Quality Level.
The Camera has a Tripod Hole at the Bottom and a String Holder Hole on the Side.
The Data Transfer Cable used is the Standard Small Lead and not the Larger one most commonly used with digital cameras.
The Battery is removed and inserted into the Desktop Charger when charging.
The Memory Card used is the Standard SD Card and not the Micro or Mini Card.
This really is the Perfect Little Camera for Beginners or Experts.
Go and BUY ONE!
