I mainly bought this for the inbuilt RF transponder.
This works brilliantly, and means I can feed the VCR output from my AV amplifier into the scart input on the VCR, then get that to output the signal on channel 34, which means every other telly in the house can watch the DVD or Sky or MP3 or whatever is playing in the lounge, regardless of the room that the TV is located in.
Oh, and it does a decent job of playng and recording videos too...
