loved open all hours ,got to be one of the best old t.v. series. ronnie barker plays a shop keeper and david jason his delivery boy!!!!!!!!! but together they make great t.v. soooooo funny!!!!!! if you want a great laugh this is for you.

CLASSIC SERIES STARING RONNIE BARKER AND DAVID JASON AS SHOPKEEPER AND ASSISSTANT GETTING UP TO ALL KINDS OF HILARIOUS ANTICS EVERY EPISODE AS FUNNY AS THE NEXT. BOUGHT SERIES 1-4 BECAUSE I CAN WATCH AGAIN AND AGAIN, COMEDY AT ITS BEST.

My Partner has had these on video for years. we all had had many a laugh over the years watching them.
It is brill and can't wait to purchase further dvd's Excellent!!!!!

I bought Open All Hours because I have always enjoyed the programme and the many repeats. It is excellent viewing and the DVD was in good condition. However many times I view this series I never tire of it. Viewing at its best.

I bought this DVD as a present for my Dad. Really glad I got it for him, he will enjoy it very much. Did feel the postage of the item was abit slow, however it is received and thank you very much.

Very funny and classic comedy. You wont want to turn off the dvd untill you have watched all episodes.

An excellent series. A DVD you can watch over and over again. It never loses its appeal and still makes you laugh just as much even though you know the plot off by heart. It is quite nostalgic and appealing to see the old fashioned setting. But for all that, the humour is as funny now as it was when it was first televised. I am delighted to have this in my collection for when I need to lift my spirits.

This is a fantastic opening salvo from messrs Barker and Jason. One of the funniest, well timed comedies about a northern shopkeeper with a stutter. I racked my brain for a beginning to a collection of great british comedy. I didn't think for too long and I wasn't dissapointed.
Over the years some sit com's become old and dated, but this one is timeless.

This series was our introduction to skinflint Arkwright, would be playboy, but much put upon, G-g-g-g-g-g-granville and the redoubtable Nurse Gladys. On first airing the series seemed good. In today's world of so-called comedy this looks and sounds better than ever. Good scripts are given full value by some top acting by star performers.

Ronnie Barker at his best, with excellent co-star David Jason, Good entertainment with a laugh a minute with the miserly Shop keeper. I laugh every time they use the Till, also will he ever Marry Nurse Gladys?

Reminds me of a shop I used to go into as a young man & the shop keeper wasn't much different from Arkwright, to think about it. It must have been the breed!!
