Excellent Small compact good quality camera

for much a small camera the zoom is awesome. It is compact, great quality and battery lasts quite a while! The memorys cards are cheap and so are more rechargable batteries for it. I love the way it is small, and handy.

I love this little camera. At first I was worried it would be too small, but it's a perfect size.
I bought it because I liked the colour and the way it looked. I had a bit of a let down though as I was sent the wrong colour. It takes brilliant pictures and has settings for every occasion you can think of. It's fool proof and easy to work, which is good for me!

Olympus FE-240 CameraI have been buying Olympus cameras since the 1970's, from simple 35mm point and shoots to fully automatic SLR's - they have always produced high quality photos and have never let me down; and the FE-240 is another I can add to the list.
With digital cameras we are fooled by manufactueres into thinking that just beacuse it has 7 mega pixels or 10 megapixels it will naturally produce high quality photos. But any camera, be it film or digital, is only as good as the lens on the front of it. This my friends is key. Experience has shown me that Olympus is quality - and this extends to their lenses.
The FE 240 is a simple camera to use and is easy to operate, but with many advanced features. This makes easy for both the novice and experienced photgrapher alike to take great picture, and its large bright LCD screen is easy to see in most conditions.
One particular feature which my partner adores is the active help screen. If she is not sure how to do something, such as change the picture quality, she can go into the help menu, select 'change picture quality', and the camera guides her through the process - she is not having to waste time fruitlessly pushing buttons and scrolling through menus.
If you are still not convinced - then all you bayers will love the 'auction' setting. This allows you to take photos which are the right size and quality for loading staright onto ebay without having to mess about with photo editing software.
In summaery, it's a great high quality camera that you can fit in your bag or pocket to take with you anywhere - well maybe not the nudist beach.

Idid a lot of research before deciding to buy this camera. I find it really simple to use,which was one of the main criteria. I compared this with other well known makes & decided that not only was this camera excellent value for money, but thought Olympus would be reliable.
Having owned the camera for a short while, I find it has come up to my expectations.
Overall I am very pleased with my purchase & would not hesitate to recommend it to others.

I like it's size. How they can cram so much technology into something so small is mind-blowing.
I love it's 5 x optical zoom which is the main reason I bought it; you can get really close up without actually being close up.
The only negative thing I can say about it is that the delay between pressing the button and the photo taking is longer than others I've tried and taking several photos at once also takes longer, but I think the positives outweigh the negatives.
All in all, for the price you can get it on Ebay, it's hard to beat.
