they are very easy to use has a great screen can do almost anything ie email 3d games movie player mp4 video recorder 2mp with flash and zoom seriously the list goes on and een though this phone is roughly 2 years old its a great buy as the competitors still are only just catching up
with this phone youve got a camera a mobile a sat nav system a stereo mp3 player and an internet connection what else could you want apart from maybe some good headphones and some wifi connections

The Nokia N70 is the first of the Nokia Nseries smartphones to be released in the UK. The N70 is a 3G smartphone, similar to the popular and successful 6680, but with upgraded features.

Physically the N70 is similar in appearance to the Nokia 6680, with a conventional boxy shape and a functional (but small) keypad with a five-way scroll key, two soft keys, an application key, and a multimedia key. The N70 is slightly thicker than the 6680, but lighter. The screen is a good size and the two cameras are well located. Overall, it's a good, practical design for a smartphone, and the most traditional-looking of the Nseries phones. The surface does scratch however, so take good care of it.

The N70 is a powerful imaging device with a high quality camera with 2 megapixels. This is the first Nokia phone to break the 2 megapixel barrier. The camera has a very powerful 20x digital zoom, an integrated flash and a choice of modes including scenery, portrait, night and sports. It's possible to control settings such as brightness, white balance settings and colour tones. The camera, whilst good, isn't as good as the 2 megapixel camera on the Sony Ericsson K750i or W900i. There's a dedicated camera button and a protective slide. Nokia XpressPrint enables you to print photos directly to a PictBridge-compliant printer. Video recording is also possible (but not at the 2 megapixel resolution). A Movie Director application is supplied for editing videos.

The N70 has the full range of 3G capabilities, including video calling, video downloads and video/music streaming. A second VGA resolution camera is used for making video calls. Data transfer via 3G is very fast, opening up the possibility of media streaming and music or video downloads. The display on the N70 is very good with 262k colours and a bright active matrix display. It's a great multimedia device.

The RealPlayer media player supports video playback in MPEG4 format, plus audio in a choice of formats including MP3, AAC, Real Audio, WAV and Nokia Ring Tones. The Visual Radio lets you listen to songs from radio stations, with information about the song and artist. A stereo headset is supplied as part of the sales package.

The internal memory of the device is 30 Mbytes, with the addition of a 64 Mbyte MMC card which can be hot-swapped. Connectivity is via Bluetooth or USB.

The N70 takes the 6680 and adds a few more features such as the enhanced camera. In so many ways it's an outstanding phone, but there are several things that let it down. First of all, the effect of adding in all these features has made the user interface very slow. It's not an easy phone to use, takes a long time to boot up, and does have a tendency to freeze or shut down. The camera isn't as good as you'd expect from a 2 megapixel device and the screen isn't as good as you'd expect from its specification. The keypad isn't easy to use if you have large fingers and the overall build quality of the N70 doesn't seem to be that great. In particular the sliding camera cover always seems to be about to fall off. Don't assume that the N70 is actually any better than the 6680 that it replaced. The new N73 upgrades the N70 significantly and is a better phone.

I like the phones style and feel. It is very robust and easy to use.
I think the N70 is fantastic value for money now it's seen as old hat to many.
Dont be fooled by this, I recon it will do more than most need.
I have'nt got any thing negative to say about the phone.

What to say about the nokia n70, slow software, slow to start.
The phone itself is'nt bad but the software and battery life let
it down which is a shame because its a nice phone. Battery life is
between 2 and 3 days on average not as bad as the n95 though.

Very good smartphone. Easy to use and stylish. You can synchronize outlook express and use it almost like a pda. It is also very robust, so if you drop it you are unlikely to damage it.

I have nothing much to say about this Nokia phone since all its clockwork is perfectly working fine, and the whole set-up is very easy to use, as well. However used, it is still a reasonable choice for those who need a cheaper but of top quality one.

The seller did not say that the phone was beyond repiar. He has tried to do a repair himself which does not work. Despite trying to get in contact, I get no reply. how do I get my money back??????

i do Like Nokia in general But especially N70, reasonable size, hardy phone, easy to use, MOST GOOD features are, u can install whatever programs u like, for example, SMS timer, dictionary, medical books, stories, bible, Quran etc and fun too,,,games, music, even Sat nav, i se it as my little PDA.
the security is too advanced it already comes with auto Loking syste but you can install even tougher programs to hide your private pictures,notes,messages, even applications, and bank details and web passwords..
enables internet connections, great Digital camera, and Radio, and Mp3 player, with all these programs i feel i have a PC in my pocket, because I just have to make it communicate via blutooth with my laptop then any compatable application can be transferred from or to the phone.
the N70 has a reasonably big screen and many applications but the battery life is still great, unlike N95. which has simillar appliactions but it drains the battery, also unecessary big size.
NOTHING I DISLAIKE ABOUT N70, ABSOLUTLY PERFICT.

Unfortunately this phone arrived in a battered state, 8 of the keys were completely worn away making the phone too difficult to actually use; front edge of the cover was also lifted up at the edge.

The NOKIA N70 is not a good phone to buy!
Compare this phone with Samsung D900: same price, same features but. . .
N70 is a big phone, D900 is little: sometimes you forget to have this phone with you; N70 has a 2 megapixel camera, D900 3,2 megapixel!!!

I had my first N70 when it first came out,used it for a year and sold it when I upgraded to an N73,N73 was not a bad phone,sold it when I upgraded to an N81, for some reason,I missed my N70 and bought a used one.I have it as a second phone and I still like using it.I guess it is still my favourite Nseries.

i liked the look of it and it does everything ineed it todo.i got it at a very good price.about £30 less than a power seller. the good thing was it was new as well so even a better bargain.it has front and back cameras so great for sending video messages.

This was bought on behalf of my brother, but no disrespect to the seller, this has to be one of the worst Nokias available.
There is no internal memory to speak of, requiring you to buy a memory card as soon as possible, if you ever receive messages or anything.
