The Nokia 3310, yes its well out of date now, its been around for a very long time, but can you honestly say you have used an easier to work with phone that is not only durable but extremely cheap. This phone was probably the only phone i ever used that was dropped in the sea and still managed to work. It took a lot of knocks, scrapes and scratches but still done exactly what it was meant to do, make and receive phone calls and send text messages, what more do you need in a phone? Yes you can get all these new flashy flip phones nowadays but is there honestly any point in spending over the odds for a camera phone that to be honest probably isnt all that good is it. So if you are looking for the best phone that does the basic thing and connects your call as simple as that then it is the Nokia 3310 you want, it makes life so much easier.
I run a martial arts school , and this is the only device which has a loud alarm, which i use the timer for class drills. It works for me. www.themartialartsschool.co.uk
Buying a second-hand phone, especially one that is unlocked and from someone you don't know could be a bit iffy.
This phone is exactly as I'd hoped it would be.......perfect! I just popped the sim card in and away I went.......no problem :-)
If you're looking for a great, robust, easy to use no frills phone, then this is ideal. The Nokia 3310 has been around a while, but still knocks spots off most of the 'teckie' phones out there today.
In my line of work I have to have a 100% relyable phone......the Nokia 3310 is exactly that.
I wanted a no-nonsense, easy to use phone with no confusing technology and the Nokia 3310 ticks all the boxes. It is reliable and functional with a battery which really lasts. All I need.
i was looking for some gadgets when i spotted the listening device being sold,it seemed funny to listen in on people without them knowing and i could bring up what they said after,i received the phone two days later which was quick because normally it takes several days, but when it came it had a full set of instructions and was well presented i was quite pleased with it,but my mrs wasnt she got paranoid so i gave it to my kids to use.
I bought this phone for my 80 year old mother-in-law because she is terrified of new technology (we're still trying to teach her where the on/off button is on the TV remote control). So this phone is nigh perfect for her. It is really simple, with only 3 buttons in addition to the obligatory numerals (if we ignore the on/off button; I'm sure she will). The display is also nice and simple. It has a nice, solid feel about it.
The reason why I bought this item was because my young Springer Spaniel had chewed my other phone!I already had a more up to date one which I used, but was more comfortable with the older type and had a lit of numbers etc. stored on it which could only be retrieved by getting the same phone again. Its a great 2nd phone to have, very reliable and easy to use.
An excellent buy. The elderly gentleman i bought it for had one of the same model and didn't want to learn how to use another one. It was a great price and he is very pleased with it.
The Ericsson R520 might be an old phone by todays standards, but for a straightforward its ideal. Quad-band (ideal abroad), large display and above all, a decent sized keyboard for my "chubby" fingers. (Don't you just hate those tiny keyboards that only the kids can use).
As reliability goes, I'm perhaps not too impressed. This is now the 5th phone I've had (I use two phones on different numbers) with at least two of the phones having missing pixels on the display. However, the car kit I use them with is first rate and whilst they are still available, I'll going to carry on using them.

I decided to buy this product because of its reputation for being very hard to break. It was at a very reasonalbe price with a good delivery price as well.
This is a nice little phone covered in rubber makes it hard wearing and splashproof! Great if you use your phone allot in the rain:) The menus are easy to use as with all nokias! loud ring tones, Only downside is the rubber charger port cover can sometimes break:( but im sure this is just a one off! Overall a very nice phone! 4***
I believe that the Nokia 3310 is the best designed and most simply functional mobile phone ever made. If you just want a reliable phone to make and receive calls, then this is the one. And no one is ever going to steal it! However, with regard to this purchase, the seller only put a battery in it, charged it up, and because the fascia looked as it should, they listed it. When I received it and did the same, I found that the menu button didn't work, I could not make any calls. The phone was useless , and when I complained, they told me to dump it. Well, great, but I just wasted a week, when I could have gone for another phone. Sellers need to thoroughly test phones before they list them.
You really can't beat this Nokia phone ~ not everyone wants something whizzy, and some of us prefer a phone to have voice and text facilities only. Also, I have yet to find a keypad as well-spaced as this.
Marketing bods at Nokia take note ... go online at eBay anytime and see how many people are chasing secondhand 3310s!!
