Great album by a great band. They always have good guests on their albums like LSK who appears here on this album. Well worth a listen, "Miss you less see you more" is a great track. Maxi Jazz's song writting and Vocals is hard hitting about todays world problems.

No Roots AKA 'The Best Of Faithless'

Apart from the 'Forever Faithless' greatest hits collection; this is possibly an example of Faithless' finest work.
Following the sucess of thier previous album (Outrospective / Reperspective : The Remixes) 'No Roots' boasts a selection of some of the finest dance music to date.
I total contrast from the bands first album 'Reverence', 'No Roots' opens with the firey Introduction to 'Mass Distruction' (the 'lead single' of the album) with Maxi Jazz' smooth vocals fitting perfectley over Sister Bliss' fantastic keyboarding.
Every song on the album falls into 'Two Parts' -making 'No Roots' excellent concert material, as Faithless are one of the few bands who can jam thier way around thier back catalogue, with each song sounding amazing.
Songs which stand out in particular, are (I feel) 'I want more: Part 2' (the version included on the 'Greatest Hits' compilation), 'Miss U Less, See U More'- a scortching summer/city tune, which is excellent for afternoon driving with the roof down, Or, a total contrast to be played as a warm up track at a club. My personal favourite however, is the euphoric 'What about Love' following on from 'Everything will be alright tomorow' - Faithless here use thier signature picassio / Insomnia style beat with catchy lyrics at the same time. Definatley worth playing LOUD!

As i said, other than the Greatest Hits collection, this is by far the best Faithless studio album around- and with songs like the ones mentioned, its easy to see why this went straight to number one.

  Maxi is a real poet!

I'm a convert to faithless as a result of their recent greatest hits. I've bought some of their older material because I love their greatest hits and wanted to see some of their material that didn't make the greatest hits. I suppose I'm slightly disappointed but not suprised that much of their other material doesn't quite live up to my very high expectations. I love their lyrics and they have a great vibe but some of the material on this album was just ok. Despite this i think this is a very worthwhile buy for any faithless fan and Maxi's lyrics remain inspirational!
