Stick fairly true to books, and not to hard to follow even with subtitles. Night watch has a better plot than day watch which tends to drag a bit but day watch has better special effects. But all round a good box set.
My Husband was talking about this film Day Watch and I thought I would look on E-Bay to see if any one was selling this, I bid for this film and as a bonus it was a double DVD of both the movies in this collection so he was delighted with this This arrived in a matter of days straight to my home address and for me this is so convienent rather than trolling around shops searching for items
My husband has since watched these films and said they were FAB
best russian movies since battleship potiemkin, and the best action/vampire movie i've seen for a long time a real breathe of fresh air compared to amerian action movies
a bloody russian fairy tale sums it up well
depends more on excellent acting and imagination than special effects but simple effects are used really well
Night watch, first of the trilogy. I didn't realise that it was in Russian with English subtitles which was a bit of putting, you found yourself missing scenes when reading the script .The special fx were good though ,i would say the film was easier to understand since i read the book first. A dark film and easy confusing. Day watch is alot better, spoken in English. But you do need to see the Night watch first to understand the characters as it continues with some main plots. well worth seeing.
