julia roberts is the queen of chick flicks and this film is no exception. If your having a day where all you want to do is put ya feet up and have a good giggle with the girls or even if you are in a sentimental mood and need a good romantic comedy this film has all the right ingrediants: A women hopeless at love, falling in love with her best friend ( on his wedding week) and being rescued by her larger than life openly gay friend.
it is an hilarous film with many fantastic scenes with side splitting comedy. the actors have all develeloped thier characters to a wonderfall level making you fall in love with them all, a partically good perfomance from careron diaz ( kimmy).
no matter your mood this is an excellent, simple film.

julia roberts plays the best friend of a man who is about to wed the most annoying woman ever, kimmy (cameron diaz) she has secretly always loved him, after all her efforts to ruin things will they end up together or will kimmy win??....excellent film with a great cast & soundtrack!

A good family film !!!Julia Roberts plays a woman who is happy and content until she gets a phone call from her best friend (Dermot Mulroney) around the same time as she remembers a pact that they had made ... reaching a certain age if neither are married then they promise to marry each other ... his phone call is about marriage - he's met someone (Cameron Diaz). After that phone call Julianne (Julia )is determined to split them up and make him (Dermot Mulroney) keep his promise to marry her, she convinces herself that she loves him and that he loves her , they meet up and she is made the matron of honour , a position of power ??? Her boss Rupert Everett is the perfect man to play this character ,tries to make her see sense but with limited success.

I didn't expect this romantic comedy to be so unconventional and it was a huge treat. A fantastic chick flick, with so many memorable moments, that are guaranteed to put a smile on your face and that you can enjoy over and over again. Julia and Dermot are warm, charming leads but the real delight is Rupert Everett who sparkles from beginning to end with all the best one liners and charisma to burn. You WILL leave the party singing!! Forever, and ever, you stay in my heart......

Rupert Everett is hilarious.I could just leave my review to that one line. Cause Rupert Everett is truly hilarious. If you don't like the rom-com genre then this film probably isn't for you. But if you love a bit of romance, humour and all round good fun then watch this movie. The classic Dionne Warwick scene is not to be missed.

If you want a film to make you laugh, cry and think of love won and lost, you will love, love, love MY BEST FRIENDS WEDDING! Julia Roberts we all know from Pretty Women appears confident naturally funny with a beautiful sense of comic timing! Along side Cameron Diaz and Dermot maloney this is a must see classic modern day love story! BUY IT! WATCH IT! LOVE IT!
