This is my favorite cast album and reminds me of some of The Who's more mellow recordings, John Power's vocals give it a great scouse edge. Brilliant !
This album is ok. At present the songs sound fairly similar but maybe if I listen to them more times I might appreciate them more. This isnt one of those albums that gives you a buzz on the first play but perhaps grows on you in time...
A great album from then La's frontman John Power writing over 30 songs during the sessions at the legendary Sawmills and Abbey Road studios. This is a piece of vintage britpop bouncing in and out of modern melodic classics such as "Free Me", "Guiding Star" and "Live The Dream". This is the hidden gem of the era standing alongside every classic...this should be on every shelf alongside the "Great Escape" and "Morning Glory".
Good album, the best tracks are the 2 'famous' ones; Free Me and Guiding Star. I bought my copy from Ebay and am very pleased with it. Not the best CD I own but would certainly recommend having it in your collection.
