probably their bes and most underrated album. from the opening track for tommorrow to the close resigned this is an album which outshines alot of the copycat britpop stuff that followed it. Very inventive and full of good tunes. They were not trying to leap on a bandwagon so it sound fresh. The extra track are also good, I don't know why popscene was not included in the first place. A picture of 90's england with wit and knowledge. cool album.
A classic snapshot of England; the best Blur album by far. Damon comes into his own as a song writer, great production from Stephen Street, and Coxon's guitar compliments Albarn's melodic hooks beautifully. In short, alongside Suede's debut, one of the most important albums of the nineties.
I had a clear out of my loft & found a load of tapes & thought it would be nice to listen to them again & have them in my collection since I no longer have a tape player. Brought back memories of school 10 years ago!
