FANTASTIC BRIAN DE PALMA MOVIE. FAST MOVING AND FULL OF ACTION. TOM CRUISE IS BRILLIANT IN THIS FILM AND HOW FAR HE HAS COME SINCE 'TOP GUN'!!! GOT TO KEEP UP WITH THE STORYLINE AS IT COULD GO RIGHT OVER YOUR HEAD IF YOU'RE NOT CAREFUL! HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR YOUR COLLECTION, A MUST IN FACT.

Mission Impossible 1Tom Cruise at his best, well worth owning as part of your must have DVD collection.

I love all the mission impossible films and already had mission impossible 2 and 3 also bought on ebay, so finding the first movie at such a reasonable price allowed me to complete my set at a fraction of the price from shops and just as good quality condition.

Mission: Impossible (DVD 2000)I bought this for my mum who is, sadly, a huge Tom Cruise fan. I get dragged to see all the rubbish he normally brings out but this film was directed and written by Brian De Palma. Superb direction with a plot line you have to concentrate on, makes a change from ususal Hollywood dross. This film is like a fine wine in as much it gets better with age. There are so many little "give aways" that Brian puts in the film that you will spot one after several views. A must see modern day classic.

Great actors and good acting, not really a film you can relax into with the family, when you fed up loads of energy crack open the popcorn and settle down to great effect predictable film but that’s just about all you can say about it.

Average filmThis is a good film when it gets into it but that takes a while, in places it is very action packed but also quiet alot of the film is slow and palin and boring.

id seen this film before on rental and tv and thought it was great being a fan of the 70s series thought both the writers and actors done it real justic and with the third one having just come out at the pictures i bought this and the second one just to get back up to speed with them if you like action movies with a half plasuable story line that makes you think a bit rather than shoot everyone and blow everything up(even though that happnens in this)it is a highly recomended film.

Watch the original series and Tom cruise has just done an amazing job. This is one of my all-time favourite films and the latest edition MI:III is just mind blowing. if you havent seen this film then watch it and if you like it watch Mission impossible 3 because its fantastic. As for MI:II well > John Woo disappointing directing and made it more like a james bond movie which i personally didnt really enjoy.
Anyway you make your mind up but defiantly watch it and buy it on DVD

An excellent film with suspense and great action sequences and with more off kilter camera angles than you can shake a stick at from Brian De Palma which helps the film along nicely and keeps you interested from start to finish.
I loved the telly series and this is a great transfer to film with great characters and an excellent story. I give it a 4 star as it gives the game away too early in respect of length of time to the end that aside it would have got 5 stars, the sequel was a bit pretentious and far fetched a let down although in the dvd extras there's a feature that has Ben Stiller playing Tom Cruze who is Tom Cruise's stunt double I only mention this as it's funny as hell.
Plus with the third installment on the way which is looking as good as the first this is a great film worth buying, I did.
