Microsoft Xbox 360 Core System Console

The core is of course the lower end package of the 360 deal, but the only difference between the core & the premium is accessories and peripherals. If you dont plan to connect the 360 to go online for xbox live, then really there is no need to splash out on the extra cash for a headset, Hard drive, and the other unecessary parts. I bought myself the core package which included a game, the wired pad and a memory card all for £200. Now the HDD is a nice addition to the 360 however will you really need 20gb for save games...If you are the person who is going to be downloading music, xbox live, etc then the premium may suit you more, but for the ones who just want to game then the core is a good choice. Save the extra cash and get a game & a memory card.

Ok, i am going to be as honest as i can:

I bought the xbox 360 and let me tell you, game wise, it is the best fun i've had with games in years! however, before you buy your xbox 360 you have to consider the following:

- Date of manufacturing
- Warranty left
- State of the machine

I enjoyed my xbox for only 1 month before i got the famous ROD (or as some people call it RROD). If you dont know what that is, i highly recommend you google it and look at the video's on youtube.
ROD or RROD is short for Red Ring of DEATH. Microsft have a MAJOR issue with their components and its been a real pain trying to get this fixed. Basically ROD occurs when the thermal compound on the CPU and GPU melt becasue of overheating, when this happens your Xbox starts to freeze during game play till one day the consol will flash the red ring. Microsoft is fixing these problems free of charge as long as the xbox is still in warranty and its usually a 3 week turnaround.

SO to conclude, if you want a consol that is great game wise, the Xbox is REALLY good, but be prepared to fork out on repair cost. Otherwise, there is always the PS3, yes, it is more expensive but i guess the price reflects the build quality.

I must admit I was a bit dubious of this seller as he had not got a high selling score, but with a nagging teenager who told me that it was a bargain(and it was his money) I gave it a go. I (and my son) were delighted when the package arrived quickly and safely. The packaging was excellent. I would recommend this guy to anyone.

When i decided to purchase a 360 i looked around on ebay and found a great deal. The xbox 360 has excellent features, one including its dash board. This is where u can change ur settings, load a game, check ur achievements and download things from the xbox live market place. The xbox live is superior to all online gaming its easy to set up and gives a whole new light to gaming. Also the range of games exclusive to the 360 is great. There arent many let downs to this console, but there good be some improvements. The premium console comes with a 20 gb hard drive, even though this is sufficient for saved games and some downloads it could be slightly bigger. But all in all the xbox 360 is a superb console and should definately be considered on buying.

The xbox 360 core system package is perfect for a gamer that does not intend to go online. However if you want to take your xbox 360 online then i highly recommend getting a harddrive because you can not go online without it. You must remember however, that you can always go back and get a harddrive later (I see the 20gb ones going for around £30 on ebay).

i like the xbox 360 very much because i have always wanted one since i could not play the games i wanted, like halo 3 for instance.

You couldn't possibly write a poor review of this product. I have never been a fan of console games but bought this product for my son, I find myself sitting with him for a few hours. Sometimes just giving out instructions like a navigator of some kind. Very engrossing product. May get a Wii too for that family experience, they are 2 very different products and not so sure they should be compared to each other.

I was a bit worried about getting the XBOX 360 after being a massive PC Gamer over the years, but as more and more games are XBOX 360 only it was time to buy one.

This console has been a very good purchase, been quite a bargain too. Controls are nice, graphics are lovely and there are short loading times!

The price! I got a awesome bargin on mine, got it with 17 top title games two controls and DVD player, for just above 200!

I play it every day, and with 17 games i think, il be playing for a while to come

Why is the transformer so big!!!! It's pretty loud to!

my son wanted this.his ps2 and wii still wasnt enough for him, hes very pleased says its a cut above the others

Since buying the console I have played 3 games with it. Fifa 08 and PES 2008 both of which are very fun to play with friends, but each come into their own with the use of xbox live. Being able to play people all over the world of varying ability is a real bonus.
The other game I have bought is the Orange Box, which again seems good with the xbox live option to play TF2 online. I have not progressed too far with the Half life 2 storyline but i'm looking forward to getting into that.

Bought this xbox 360 core pack from a seller. Runs games better than PS3. It is kind of a personal thing really. People say PS3 is this and that but their is not enough variety of games on PS3. And to be honest if I need a dvd/blueray player I would go out a buy one.
Xbox 360 is not flawless either. The amount of heat it produces and the different flavours of harddrive size available is mind boogling. Arcade pack comes with 64 mb mem card/one gamepad, premium pack comes with 20gis harddrive and one gamepad, elite pack comes with 120 gig harddrive and one controller. Their are more packages out their but the above three are the one's available from retailers.

couple of faultsHaving converted most of my old video collection to DVD I was thrilled to find this film gem in digital format. If you watch this in widescreen format, it really does the battle scene great justice; coupled with surround sound, you'll be gripped by the amazing cinematography. I would recommend the director's cut that includes scenes about the relationship between the lead character and his estranged wife and helps you to understand the motivation behind his decision. The run time is 183 minutes for the directors cut and 120 minutes for the cinema version. I was, however, disappointed by the lack of extras, which any fan of this classic would expect to be included. There's only a 20-minute interview with the director and other shot "making-of" vignettes.

The product was in excellent condition. Although sold as spares or repair, it works fine and have had no problems.
Other consoles bought were not as good as this one.

Overall The Xbox 360 Console Is Pretty Damn Good And Now Finally Reasonably Priced With Its Wide Variety Of Games And Online Gaming Capability. I Have Not Said Its Excellent Because Of The Overheating Issue But Other Than That I Would Recommend It.

After making the decision to get myself a 360, I found various ones posted for auction on eBay that went for reasonable prices, compared with the high street store prices. After seeing the FIFA 2006 Limited Edition version on auction I purchased it straight away for just over £100. When the 360 came I checked it and promply wired it up. I inserted the FIFA 2006 game that came with it and told myself to JUST TRY IT. About 4hrs later the wife started whinging :) so I turned it off. I now have about 8 games, and have set the item up in the bedroom so's not to annoy the mrs. If you are looking for a games console that has great graphics, excellent game play, and need to be away from the mrs to unwind every now and then...I would get a 360. Either the limited edition, or just the standard version.
