I have been a Linkin Park fan since their first single 'One Step Closer' released in the United States when I was still in graduate school.I just thought they made great music. Now I have graduated, emplyed, etc etc individual, and I am proud to say that I still love their music! Their sophomore release album 'Hybrid Theory' comes out tops! The first single released from this album was 'somewhere I belong' . With a great video to boot, this soon became a classic. Shinoda's vocals add a lot to this trademark LP track. Its just the way these guys make you feel the music instead of just listening to it. I thought the pick of the album is definitely 'Breaking the Habit'. No rapping involved in this by Shinoda, Bennington sings his heart out in this awesome rendition of a song which took 6 years to write! Other tracks which stand out in this album are 'Faint', 'Numb' and 'Easier to Run'. Add it to the collection of Nu Metal..its worth being a classic!
Hybrid theory was an awsum and amazing album, so why decide to ruin it buy remixing it, I have always thought remixing an album is risky and usually a lazy efort at trying to regain popularity, and this shows it. I am a massive Linkin Park fan, but I loved Hybrid theory so much that I thinks this album should have been used to progress onto bigger and better things, if possible after that album, but no the lazyness of either the band or producers has ruined what could of made linkin Park a band that are still massive today instead of fading into obscurity.
It was very fast, the CD i bought was well priced, it was in great condition. The way that the CD was described was 100% perfect.
This ebayer made the transaction smooth and hassle free and also got into contact by sending an email to state he had received payment and was posting the item. Made me feel very confident about the item i purchased.
I love this album and the group. I am going to see them this year at the Milton Keynes Bowl for the Projekt Revolution Tour !!!!
They are totally awesome in ALL aspects.
Mr Hahn's deck/mixing abilities are second to none (in my humble opinion) Chester, has a powerful evocative voice and his lyrics are cutting edge and raw! His vocal range is also as impressive.
Mike Shinoda, has rhymes that bust the whole tune apart (in a good way) - he brings a uniqueness to the great songs that Linkin Park put out.
This truly magnificent band PROVE together with Mr. Jay Z, that rock/metal can coincide & exist alongside R n B, Hip Hop & Rap music. That the two worlds can combine and BLOW you away with lyrics, beats & musical equality.
Music is a form of expression, but it is also an outlet whereby moods and minds can be altered.
If you only have one day left on this planet - BUY THIS AND OTHER LINKIN PARK ALBUMS. Listen closely to the lyrics and FEEL every gut wrenching sentiment that their hard work has produced. This is NOT just screaming. This is REAL!!
It perhaps doesnt come under the title of easy listening however it still beats the majority of crap out there... if you like nickelback/nirvana you should get this if you have the money AND obviously if you like this you should perhaps also listen to nickelback/nirvana...It sure puts one in the mood to take up his weapon and participate in some hell raising anarchy I find... Alan
Fantastic album, brilliant songs. I love the song NUMB because it has a brilliant beat and lyrics. Also a favourite of my 14 year old son. Does not have an age following, it appeals to anyone who loves this type of music.
Following on from the hit first album, Linkin park score another winner with their second album. While the released may not be as memorable as those off hybrid theory, they are just as good with the sombre Somewhere I belong & frantic Faint stand out tracks.
Other killer tracks include numb and breaking the habit. A must buy for any self respecting Linkin Park fan, or indeed any fan of good music
Another great cd by Linkin Park, I stopped listening to them for some reason a while ago but this cd started me listening to them again, really pleased I got this cd, some great songs, catchy but in the linkin park way :)
this cd is excellent and gets to the point i love every track. its quite a powerfull album and can help you get to grips when someone treats you bad, i can relate to some of the songs
I love Linkin Park, and for me, Meteora is the 'must have' album from them!!! It is awesome from start to finish, well put together, and thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish!! Fantastic hits such as my personal favourite 'Somewhere I Belong', and the awesome 'Numb', make this, for me, a truly classic album, and certainly one that must be in your collection, and will certainly always be kept, timeless!!!
This was when they were more of an underground metal band. This is a good followon to Hybrid Theory and took off where that ended. If you liek HT gte this. If you like the new one DONT! u are unworthy! the vocal combo of Chester and Mike are really good and the guitar coems out with some solid riffs. I liked these more back where they came out but still listen to them.
All in all everyone should own this as it is really good..
wow! what a great second album fro the new metal godszz!! the one of many things i like about this album/band is the lack of bad laugage, my kids love this music !!
Having converted most of my old video collection to DVD I was thrilled to find this film gem in digital format. If you watch this in widescreen format, it really does the battle scene great justice; coupled with surround sound, you'll be gripped by the amazing cinematography. I would recommend the director's cut that includes scenes about the relationship between the lead character and his estranged wife and helps you to understand the motivation behind his decision. The run time is 183 minutes for the directors cut and 120 minutes for the cinema version. I was, however, disappointed by the lack of extras, which any fan of this classic would expect to be included. There's only a 20-minute interview with the director and other shot "making-of" vignettes.
I bought this because my son loves their music and he pestered me so much that I eventually gave in! He has listened to it every day since he got it . It was a really good bargain price too.
A couple of great tracks e.g. Somewhere I Belong and Breaking the Habit. The whole album in general is a nice, light listen with a mixture of MC-ing and hard rock.
i love this album they are my fav band. i lost this album, so i had to get it again. its great coz its kinda screamy if you want it but also mellow in parts truely a fantastic album!
Had been looking to buy it for some time, had not got round to it, saw it on Ebay and checked out the prices they were going for and decided on a bid. I won the item at the price limit I was prepared to pay. Very pleased with the CD, an natural progression for Linkin Park. Good service from the seller. Good all round, easy experience.
I bought this after hearing only one track online and wanted to check out the rest. This pack also include the ECD of the band making the album. This really gives fans an insight into just how much work goes into the production of this album.
If I wasn't a huge fan before I got this album I sure am now!
If you like any of Linkin Park's music, you'll LOVE this!
a mix of pointless, empty consuming songs that leave the listener wondering, what possesed them to write, produce and distibute such meaningless disgusting humiliating, degrading, foul, repellent, loathsome dirt. A new low in foul, nauseating, repugnant crap.
