Men In Black 2 (DVD 2003)

I love this film and never tire of watching it, Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones work so well together. I've had this film on DVD for ever and every time my 3 year old grandson comes to see me he fetches this out to watch. In the end I just had to buy him his own copy to take and watch at his own home. I'm very surprised that he hasn't worn my copy out as it has been played so much.

What can I say? Just a brilliant film, I think much better than the first MIB, which I also have.

Superb sequel to Men in Black. Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones fight it out with another group of interesting aliens bent on dominating our world. A great mixture of action and humour brilliantly portrayed by all the actors. A classic of its type.

Although the storyline is very similar and the same jokes appear in both films, this one is simply not as good.

Got the impression that the script and storyline were put together very quickly in order to cash in on the success of Men In Black.

the opening sequences were vital to this film. They told us what the film was about, and what the Men in Black had to do to save the world! Immediately after the water flush, Will Smith lost a lot of his seriousness and showed us his comedic side. But you had to feel sorry for him when his 'light' had to leave to go to another planet.

This was Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones at their best. An excellent film, brilliant acting and lots of laughs!

After not really being bothered whether I saw this or not at the cimema first time round, my son recently asked me to buy him it on dvd. After sitting down and watching it with him it's quite a good film. My son loves it and was well impressed with the aliens.

This film is full of action and is all about aliens and supernatural beings it has Will Smith as J who is trying to save the human race from extinction, it is a film worth watching.

An excellent film. Great fun, lots of laughs. Film reviewers weren't keen but I rate it highly. One to own 'cos I keep watching it.

I bought this film because my family thoroughly enjoyed the first film. I think that the sequel is just as brilliant and thoroughly entertaining. My children loved the annoying little Pug dog called 'Frank', who is absolutely hilarious! It's worth buying just to watch the 'I will survive' scene in the car with Frank and Will Smith! Definitely one to watch.

I enjoy this film, its funny...will smith is back for the second round of men in black...
only this time his sidekick isnt "K" its a cute (but rather annoying) pug (dog)...
not as good as the first 1 in my opinion but still a good family film

this film is great in my eyes it beats the first edition theres not many sequels that do it because they rush in making them but they never with this film its great

I am a fan of Mr Jones, and this is just as fab as the first film. Make yourself some popcorn, sit back and relax. Wonderful entertainment.

A entertaining sequel, slightly poorer than the first Men in Black, but stands up as a good film in it's own right.
My 11 year old son loved it!
And Will Smith is always good to watch!

this is a good all round family film that the whole family will enjoy over and over again. I bought this film because the first one was good and the second is even better. will smith will have you in stitches from start to finish. The aliens are even funnier than the first film. This could and should become a classic family film.

Great film, slightly better that the 1st one, but well worth the watch. Would be an idea to buy the boxset to save a little money.

Some sequels aim to expand upon a story that has captured and enticed the world's imagination. Others seek to revisit characters that have become enduring favorites of the movie-going public. And still others, like Men in Black II, simply repackage the original and laugh at broke-ass film critics on their way to the bank.

The general story of the MIB saga, of course, remains the same: a secret society of sharp-dressing, pseudo-government agents protect the world from extra-terrestrial threats. Unfortunately, the similarities between installments 1 and 2 don't end there. Just about all the details have been mirror-imaged as well: Agents J (Will Smith) and K (Tommy Lee Jones) must track down a small but powerful alien artifact in order to prevent the destruction of the universe; an agent must be trained in the ways of the agency; a high speed chase finds Will Smith tossed around as his car turns upside down; and big silver guns are required to take down a slithery opponent in the movie's final battle. If those duplications aren't enough, they've even traded in lily white brunette Linda Fiorentino for lily white brunette Lara Flynn Boyle.

Still, in spite of this disturbing amount of repackaging, there are minor (and I do mean minor) differences between the two films that put this one just slightly ahead of its predecessor: Frank, the amusing talking dog, is more of a character in this sequel; Lara Flynn Boyle brings vixenous villainy to the franchise by dressing like a lingerie model while destroying the world; new aliens like the worm creatures round out a more entertaining cast of unearthly freaks; and Will Smith has a fair amount of comedic lines, including the instant classic, "Boy, you like forty years old!"

Hey, I didn't say these were big improvements.

Like the first Men in Black, the sequel's saving grace that keeps a jumbled story somewhat focused is the chemistry between its stars. In the tradition of the mismatched partners of buddy cop flicks, Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones share a humorous love/hate relationship. Agent J takes several shots at his "old and busted" partner, making light of his postal job, screw-ups, and advanced age. And of course, such jabs always put a smile on my face since I'm a sucker for comedy at the expense of old folks (it's one of the only things that keeps me watching Adam Sandler movies).

I enjoyed this more than the first movie- possibly because there was less violence and it was more suitable for younger viewers. My 12 year old loved it - has watched it at least 3 times and loves all the interactive stuff. I'd reccommend it to any one.

First class film and delivered without any problems. It was a film that was not in our local stores here in Norfolk and buying via ebay was so easy, will most certainly purchase further DVD's this way- thank you
