One of my greatest albums every to have owned, so when it was stolen from my car i had to replace it.
A definate album to own, experience the wonderful and magical Maxwell, I guarantee you'll be hooked - Can't get enough of this guy - ENJOY

THIS IS PROBABLY ONE OF THE BEST R 'N' B ALBUMS I HAVE EVER HEARD.WITH THE FANTASTIC FUNKY BASS AND MAXWELLS SILKY VOICE,IT IS PROBABLY HIS BEST WORK.IN MY HUMBLE OPINION,HE SHOULD BE A MEGASTAR.YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED IF YOU BOUGHT THIS ALBUM.EVERY TRACK IS BRILLIANT.

One of the best soul cd's ever! As a debut albulm, it is truly remarkable. I have advised numerous friends to purchase this cd over the years: offering to buy it back from them if they were dissatisfied. No one has asked me for their money back. If you like Marvin Gaye or Sade, you'll LOVE Maxwell. Once more, he is a gifted performer that I've seen no less than four times.

Bought this one on a spur of the moment thing because I adore a track called "Let's Not Play The Game" by Maxwell which appears on the sound track of "The Best Man". While that track does not appear on this disc it is never the less an excellent album. From the opening instrumental (soaring saxophones complete with fake record like snap, crackle and pop) to the extra long final track (13 minutes) this is a first class R&B album. I own nearly 600 albums and this is in my top 10. Highly recommended.
