Starts off with Tiny dancer - a great song - then Elton really rocks - perhaps slightly underrated as an album - but I think it is a great collection of tracks.
The quality of the remastered CDS is excellent. This album is one of Elton's best I believe - Tiny Dancer is one of my favourite tracks, lyrics written by Bernie about his wife, how romantic! Anyway, if you are an Elton fan you will know that some of his best albums are the oldest, or maybe I'm just a dinosaur, but I do love this particular album.
This album is in my opinion one of the finest pieces of work by Elton despite it's age. It was the 2nd Elton John I bought in the early 70's ( after Honkey Chateau) and it was evident then that Elton's musical versatility combined with Bernie Taupin's excellent lyrical talent were destined for nothing but success. 'Madman' is an album that has stood the test of time, does not have any inferior tracks and is classic, vintage Elton John. I believe even non Elton fans would appreciate this album.
If you are familiar with Elton John's latter material I urge you to try some of his early work which is arguable his best. This material is much closer to his R and B roots than the more pop influenced post 80's offerings
