I bought this DVD because i´m going to renovate an MGB. On this DVD you get the information you need to find a car and where to find the rust and the bad parts on your MG.
I bought this DVD to get helpful information to restore my own MGB,Mark Evens makes restoring fun with tips to overcome difficult situations, although help in providing information about other MG workshops for available parts (second hand) is not given but would be as helpful. All in All an excellent DVD
This DVD would be of inestimable value to anyone embarking on the purchase or restoration of an MGB. The presentation is authoritative, informative and entertaining. Clearly the presenter and his team had access to the best engineering services available, but they also did not baulk at tackling the most complex and demanding tasks. With this DVD, the viewer can have the confidence of taking on large or small jobs on their own MGB.
The DVD will be useful owners of other cars,as the techniques shown are universally applicable.
If you have an MG, then this is the DVD for you, Mark Evans is great at explaining things in a simple but clear way that we can all understand. This DVD also gives you ideas and alternatives to a straight forward re-build, which I found very inspirational. Thanks Evans, Great job done with a must have DVD.
Some good detail but most importantly some information you may never get about the areas of your MGB that you wouldn't normally dream of dicking around with. Excellent for a serious renovator and really quite entertaining. On the whole a great series and a must for ANY real man with an MGB, not just a metrosexual who has all the mechanical skills of a lettuce.
after watching this series on discovery channel i was delighted to find this on ebay. great dvd to watch. very informative but done in a way that keeps toy watching. funny, witty and educational. what more can you want. plus get to see a mgb roadster being restored to former glory!!!!!!
I enjoy working on and driving classic cars, one of which is a roadster. The DVD was cheap, new and delivered very quickly. The content is amusing and very enlightening even if you are not a classic car buff!
Enthusiast's perfect gift. For a person who loves MG's & either owns or wants one. Perfect DVD packaged well & delivery time excellent. It was a perfect Christmas gift, brand new and packaged well/
the dvd arrived on time and well packaged, it contains two DVDs and was ideal for me as I was considering purchasing a diy restoration project and this DVD showed just what was involved, how much skill, space, equipment, (and most of all),time was involved. the DVD was presented by mark evans with a great deal of humour to what could be a dry subject.
I was after this DVD for a while because I am currently in process of a restoration myself and thought it might come in handy, and it has! There are lots of useful tips and tricks to make the job a lot more enjoyable. I decided to buy it from e-bay becuse of the price, compared to anywhere else it was really cheap, but still brand new!
Having just purchased an MGB I was keen to gather as much information regarding restoration of this type of car as I possible could. The DVD I found very informative but in areas lacked detail. You would certainly need additional information from workshop manuals to gain enough knowledge to completely restore this type of car. That aside it was a joy to watch and it adds to the collection of bits and bobs you buy when owning classic cars etc.
I personally thought that Mark Evans has captured the very essence of restoring an MGB in this series - that it's particularly hard work and will take a whole lot longer than may first be anticipated. The process can be dis-spiriting and de-motivating almost to the point of wanting to give up - Mark Evans does not shy away from this fact and introduces some badly needed humour and frivolity to spur on the would-be restorer.
This series is not crammed full of technical information, yet it does provide the viewer with some handy tips throughout the series that are well worth knowing. I have used this DVD to compliment the usual Haynes manual / Porters restoration guides and other manuals as I restore my own 1967 MGB GT and have found this combination of source material ideal for my needs.
It's funny, well worth watching on a wet sunday afternoon and can help to identify how you can restore your own MGB with a little more confidence and by making fewer mistakes have some more fun along the way.
