My three and a half year old adores Lunar Jim (and his dad quite likes it too!). Jim is an old fashined clean cut hero and he has spawned a general interest in space and space travel in my son. This DVD was great value for money and has given him lots of entertainment. I might not want to watch 'Meteor Mystery' 300 times, but it doesn't seem to bother him!
If you have a little one who likes Lunar Jim then this DVD won't disappoint! It has 10 episodes on the disc which is great and gives you a few minutes peace. My Son loves it and his face was a picture when I took it out of the packaging. Buying this DVD would be money well spent if you live with a Lunar fan.
This is the first Lunar Jim DVD. Jim and his friends live on Moona Luna and manage to have lots of fun and adventures while finding out about the world around them. The twins love the stories and will chat for ages after watching about what they would have done and other things the Moona Luna team could have tried. With its emphasis on team-work, thinking problems through and co-operation, the twins are learning without realizing it - always a good thing with smalls. They like the Eco Dome where Moona Luna's food is grown, with the plants helping to clean the air and where Dolores and Daisy, the Moona Luna chicken and cow, live. The stories fire their imaginations and lead to fun role play games, although the 'alien' (woodlouse) found walking under the slide in the garden and 'rescued' may have disagreed. They were most impressed when their 'alien' rolled up into a ball and after much discussion it was returned to the garden, unharmed, to continue its walk. This is children's TV at it's best - brilliant and innovative without being worthy, encouraging them to go and find out about their world and one of the best series available in my view.
