1. What You Waiting For? 2. Rich Girl - (with Eve) 3. Hollaback Girl 4. Cool 5. Bubble Pop Electric - (with Johnny Vulture) 6. Luxurious 7. Harajuku Girls 8. Crash 9. Real Thing, The 10. Serious 11. Danger Zone 12. Long Way To Go - (with Andre 3000)
Horrible album, couldn't turn it off quickly enough. An infinitely pointless trawl of annoying pop trash exposing the singing voice of a 12 year old munching through jaffa cakes whilst spluttering hideous lyrics spelling 'bananas' to fill space for example. Needless swearing to try and gain the 'cool' factor too. I have no problem with bad language, but in this context, it is childish.
This CD is one of the best in my collection. Gwen Stefani is an amazing vocalist, reaching heights that many other singers only dream of. Some think it was a mistake that she broke off from No Doubt, but she has definitely excelled herself here.
Every song on this album is beautifully written and easy to sing-along to. What You Waiting For? was the first release, followed by Rich Girl, Hollaback Girl, Cool and Luxurious. If you think those songs are brilliant, this album is going to amaze you.
Stefani has co-written many of the songs, along with the likes of No Doubt member Tony Kanal, and Andre 3000. Her love for Japanese culture comes through strongly in Harajuku Girls, but her softer, more feminine side is shown through ballads such as The Real Thing. Every song has such deep meaning.
If you loved No Doubt, you will definitely love this too. I reccommend it to everyone. Gwen Stefani is an absolute star!
The modern diva of pop for the next stage of music in this era.I have heard similarities to artist within their era of works, for Gwen it's all new and modern and i could compare her music to Madonna in the ealry 80's.She has her own style of creation and development of the new era to pop/funk music and this album just shows the capability of this artist for the future, just look at her latest album following this one.
i bought this for my girlfriend who doesnt use ebay because she dnt trust it,but it shows there is nuthin wrong with it,item was bought @ a bargin price,in perfect condition and was delivered very fast, excellent service.
I bought it because I love some of the No Doubt / Gwen Stefani songs I've heard on the radio, but I absolutely hated this. I only listened to it once, and even then I could hardly bear to listen all the way through. Dreadful. If anyone wants it, I'll be listing it soon!
Gwen Stefani’s first solo album since splitting with No Doubt featuring Andre 3000, Dr. Dre and Eve. We originally bought this CD when it was first released in Nov 2004 and played it to death in the car. Had a problem with the CD player and now Love.Angel.Music.Baby is trapped in the car hence purchasing another. This extraordinary CD is full of ditzy, dressed up pink, party, bubblegum chewing late 1980’s pop mixed in with chart busting beats and hooks. Only someone like Gwen Stefani can get away with singing "This s..t is bananas/ B-A-N-A-N-A-S!" Overall this CD is fantastic it is inescapable and I would definitely recommend to all.
I wasn't a fan of 'No Doubt' as a band, their music wasn't my thing, but when I first heard this I was amazed. The sound was so different and I couldn't get Gwen's tick tocking out of my head! I recommend a listen... maybe you will be tick tocking along with her too!
Liked all tracks, decided to purchase it because i dont have penpal, therefore i could send off a cheque which suits me better and the cd was fairly priced.
Love Gwens work both as a solo artist and in the group No Doubt, several of the singles which have been in the charts over recent years are the type you'll here then spend the rest of the day humming to yourself! In my opinion this is a must have album. Personally I pop it on when I'm doing my house cleaning and dance around like a fool whilst singing along to hits like bananas, cool, rich girl and more. Its also great for house parties, gatherings and when your uploading your own ebay items. Love all the songs...Dislike nothing...Decided to buy cos it was an ebay bargain!
I am a fan of No Doubt especially their more recent stuff, so was interested to hear what Gwen Stefani's solo work would be like. I loved this album from the outset. Some albums you have to give them a few go's before they grow on you, but not this one. The album is distinctive in style and different from the usual pop music. My favourite tracks are probably 'What you waiting for' & 'Cool'. Hope you like it as much as I do.
I love this album. It proves Gwen is not only super stylish and hot- shes also a great artist (but then she's already proved that with no doubt hasn't she?). A real mix of songs on this album. ^-^
Gwen Stefani Is a fantastic performer. Her music is artisitic and imaginative. I bought the C.D for some easy listening tunes for my car and was extremely impressed. The first four tunes are chart releases and normally, I will avoid buying albums due to not enjoying the other tracks that have not been released, however, Gwens album has different styles all the way through. A great album for girly girls.
This album is fabulous! Gwen Stefani has done it again! she hase wowed us up with this great album! my daughter loves it and is a big fan of hers! her outfits might be wacky too u! but she has been voted for the bested dressed female artist in the world! her dancers are great! (Love,Angel,Music, baby) some of her songs are quiet and sweet but some our rocking mad! this is a must buy buy buy!
I'd say that this album is very unqiue. There are about 14 tracks and each of them different. A different tune, it won't bore you. Some of the songs are just loveable, and the others are more of the romantic type. Gwen Stefani has truly done it, and for the people who don't like it, of course it's different, it's not what you hear everyday. Definitely a CD to get. Perky and exciting, music!
This CD is a bit hard to describe or put into only one music 'category' but in my opinion, its a good buy. Its different from what I am used to hearing from Gwen Stefani and the tracks are not all in the same 'category'. Its quite an eclectic mix which you could look at as having something for everyone (bit of rap, bit of pop). Overall, I really like it. You'll recognize the tracks that have recently been given alot of air-time such as Hollaback Girl, or Cool. The others that havent had as much coverage yet are descent and could definitely grow on you.
