Some consider it to be the finest Zeppelin release, is it your favorite?
Led Zeppelin hit the world by storm in the late 1960's and 70's. Their music influential and inspirational to the present date. Zeppelin III kicks off with the 'Immgrant song' one of the best known Zeppelin numbers. The album is similar to their debut with blues/folk influences. 'Hats off (to roy harper)' and 'friends' 'gallows pole' being the more obvious. 'Since I've Been Lovin You' is one of the finest songs by Led Zeppelin in my opinion. Its passionate and has a mouth watering riff!
The album is an essential 70's album. It has riffs, blues, melodies! everything you would expect from Led Zeppelin. If you've owned 'IV' 'II' or 'I' then you simply have to try 'III'. Led Zeppelin don't have a bad release.

Led Zeppelin III was the first rock album I bought. I had the rare version with the "whirly wheel" thing on the cover - anyone else got that?
Sadly it was stolen when I was at University (longtime ago) so I thought it was about time I replaced it.
And it's lost none of its power or originality. A rare mix of folk and rock played by one of the all-time original supergroups.
"Since I've been Lovin' You" is worth the price alone - if you want to know how to play the guitar, listen to this track.

Not the greatest Led Zep album but still completly brilliant. More acoustic roots here, slide guitar and folk style lyrics. Bron-y-aur-stomp is my favourite but, like all Zep albums there are no tracks that aren't worth a listen.
