i have quite a few of mobys albums as i am quite a fan. this one seems to have gone back to his original style of dance music and it could quite easily have been produced in 1991. you could listen to this on your own or have it on at a banging party and it ticks the boxes, i think moby is intelligent and the music he makes is uplifting and means something. which in this day and age of simon cash cow ell and the likes which produce soulless rubbish is something to think about.
I had read some positive reviews of this new album from Moby on sites such as Rolling Stone, so I decided to buy it. When he is on form Moby's stuff is excellent. Track 1 (Ooh Yeah) is excellent. Unfortunately from here the album is a slippery slide downhill. Next come a few OK housy tracks, but these are followed many of his slow, ponderous pieces that he seems to have a weakness for, but to me are are forgettable non-tracks.
If you loved Play but tend to skip the last few tracks then don't buy this album. Just buy the single Ooh Yeah if and when it comes out, as it's the only reason I have given Last Night two stars instead of one.
