Labyrinth (DVD 2004)

i bought this dvd because i used to watch it as a child and always loved it, now i can watch it as often as i want. thanks so much well pleased.

it is a very good film there is something for all the family in it, my baby loves it all a very good film full of fun,singing,fantasy and excitement

This is a fabulous Movie I already hav it on Vidio but wante the quality o DVD. It is aFab Movie but my 5yr old is frightened to death by it. So checking it for young children is advised.

How things stay the same.

This was one of my favourite films when I was a youngster. It a blend of real actors (namely a very young Jennifer Connolly and David Bowie) and some great puppetry from the fantastic Jim Henson Creature Shop. It blends fantasy, mad characters and songs perfectly. Sarah (Jennifer Connolly) is so sick of looking after her stepbrother Toby, that she wishes the Goblin King (David Bowie) take him away from her. He obliges but Sarah immediately wishes she hadn't wished for it so sets off in search for Toby, who is being held in the Goblin Castle. She encounters various characters along the way, some who try to hamper her progress to the castle. Great songs, puppets and David Bowie hamming it up beautifully! A great family film, although younger children may be a bit frightened of some of the more 'strange looking' puppets!

I was Extatic when i recieved this movie on Dvd, after having it recorded of the telly when i was 4 i fell in love with it (even though the ended was recorded over by BROOKSIDE) SO throughout my life i had a hazy vision of the ending so when i was able to relive it i was thrilled!

A terrific magical story by the legend himself Jim Henson who's creature creations are genius i cant see how anyone can dislike the movie, and please feel free to let me know if you do dislike it so i can argue the toss with your point of view lol!

And to top it all off DAVID BOWIE is in it who introduces a fantastic collection of songs throughout its just Brilliant its deffinatly worth having in your Collection! And If you Adore this movie then i highly recomend if you dont already know about it to check out The Dark Crystal another Jim Henson Classic without his beloved Kermit.

Cool film! Way too good for children. Jim Henson, as ever, is the absolute master of every kind of puppetry known to man or muppet.Particularly adorable is the little punk worm who invites Sarah to "Come inside and meet the missus"... very cute. The plot has all the essential elements of a good fairy tale with the added bonus of a heroine who manages to get through all her trials and tribulations without squealing feebly or fainting into the arms of any poxy bloke. David Bowie(despite the fright wig) his natural humour shines through although his character does a pretty good job of being spiteful and menacing. I get the feeling the he really enjoyed making this film. The soundtrack is excellent and "As the World Falls Down" is quite hauntingly beautiful ('though I have to agree with an earlier reviewer that the ballroom sequence in which it was played did slow the action down a little - but it was a visual feast).

All in all, a beautiful film with a wonderful cast of creatures and humans. Makes me miss Jim Henson's talents lots but at least we've still got Brian (his son). My friend's three year old now has a crush on the Goblin King (I dread to think how that's gonna shape her life!).

This is an excellent movie for all the family, a true fantasy magical and adventure classic. I love it

Good film. Watched when I was younger but enjoyed it again as a lot older. keeps you going. Still enjoyed the music.

I like the film as it reminds me of being a child and I used to watch it a lot then. The characters are funny and I like the storyline.

This film is my partners favorite all time film! Something about the mystique of David Bowie, and magical memories of childhood dreamworld similar to Alice in Wonderland but more modern, more mysterious and less linked to child paedo Author.

An absolute classic Jim Henson movie, my kids (12 & 9) and i thoroughly enjoyed it. My youngest has claimed it for her 'bedtime' film, which means it will be played to death over the next few weeks or so!!

I bought it because i remembered seeing it as a kid and thought we would be able to watch it on our 'dvd night'.

I love Bowie in this,but to be fair I would love him in anything!! The puppets are hilarious and the story is great for youngsters and the young at heart alike. Watch out for the Bog of Eternal Stench!!!

This was one of my favorite films as a kid, seen it again & it's still brilliant. Jim Henderson rocks & Bowie is just cool no matter what he does. If you haven't seen it & you love the weird & wonderful, this is a must see.

I love every bit of this film and have done since I was a child. I have bought this so my daughter can watch it and she'll probably be dancing round the kitchen singing Magic Dance too : )

This film just get's better witht ime. As a child I cheered on Sara and her gang of friend's and booed the vil Goblin King, and as an adult I an simply in love with the bad guy and can't belive the heroen turned him down, I know I wouldn't. it's a truely lovely film that I'm found of watching. it remind's me of my childhood and make's me wonder at 80's fasen sence. It also holds a spical place in my heart as it introduced me to the wonderful art ork of Brain Froud and his qorld of fay. truth be told this is a wonderfully fun film that you can watch with kid's or adult's. My friend's kid's love this film, at the moment it's their flavor of the month.

this is a classic... im chuffed to bits with it. i grew up with this film so it's great to see it again, brings back lots of memories and hasn't lost any of the magic that i rememeber from nearly 20 years ago!!!

I love all the it! From start to finish! The songs are great! David Bowie is gorgeous in it! The most highly recommended film of all time in my opinion!

this was a childhood favourite of mine and i bought this for my kids to watch 21 years later and they love it too. Its a classic and David Bowie is really brilliant as the Goblin King.

lovely story about a girl who wishes her baby brother gone, but when it happens she enlists the help of strange creatures to get him back.
David Bowie is brilliant in this, the graphics are way ahead of their time and the imagination is amazing

Not watched personally but brought as a replacement for cousins disabled son who sits there for hours watching and there one got worn out so i will have to find time to watch as heard its really good and david bowie plays a fantastic part.
