Alanis Morissette - Jagged Little Pill (10th Anniversary Acoustic Version) [ECD] (CD 2005)

I think that is the beauty of JAGGED LITTLE PILL ACOUSTIC; she is unique and the music is very unique. The chord changes throughout many of the selections are genius.
This is the best c.d. I have purchased. These songs deserved to be re-recorded acoustically. The musicianship is remarkable and Alanis's voice has never sounded better.

Alanis Morsette's voice is amazing and this acoustic set is fantastic to listen to - A must buy! Many of the songs are better than the original album versions!

I bought the original version of this back in 1995 when it was released and absolutely loved it – It simply has to be one of the greatest albums ever released. Needless to say when I spotted this version I had to grab hold of a copy straight away!
As expected this version is very different from the original, if your looking for the anger that was present in the original then your not going to find it. However, what you will find is an alternative, much calmer version of these classic tunes. I often find myself listening to this one late at night with the volume turned low, whereas the other one felt more like daytime hearing and prompted me to turn up the volume so that everyone else could hear it!
Many people argue that this is in fact much better than the original, personally I wouldn’t go that far because nothing beats experiencing that special ‘jaggedness’ which the other one offered – It rocked and it still does! However don’t let that put you off, it’s a brilliant effort and both are worth owning. Enjoy!
