this film is just like the programme. makes you feel sick, be sick, laugh soo much you will wet yourself. excellent for a pick me up. would def recommend to anyone who needs a good laugh.

The jackass team are truly fantastic in this movie. they had just finished three seasons of the A* show and they finally made it into a movie. everyone is here including steve o, johnny knoxville, wee man, chris pontius,dave england, ryan dunn, preston lacy, ehren mcghehey, bam margera and more as they do the most bizzare and funniest things ever which will make you cry, puke and make your belly ache with laughter. if you are a fan of the jackass volumes then you should definately buy jackass the movie as you will be in histerics for hours! 5/5

The dawn of man: a Neanderthal wallops the guy in the cave next door for no reason at all. Underdeveloped humans laugh for the first time. Yep, that's how slapstick was invented.

Jump forward a couple of million years and you'll think hardly anything's changed when you see "Jackass: The Movie".

Men stupidly hurt each other for the amusement of their peers. And it's filthy, hilarious stuff that keeps going one better in both laughs and stunts.

Johnny Knoxville's gang of sado-masochists move from the TV to the movies, wisely dispensing with a narrative. Instead, like the hit MTV show it's based on, you get a series of OTT set-pieces that are now bleep-free but only marginally more violent and extreme.

Bizarrely, they succeed in being entertaining - if you're of a certain mindset. Clamping baby alligators to your nipples or trampolining into ceiling fans isn't for everyone, but the gleeful egging-on the performers give each other - together with their giggling winces as each new disgrace is perpetrated - eventually becomes infectious.

The purile comedy is particularly fine when the team creep onto a golf course and sound an air-horn just as wealthy WASP-types are tee-ing off. To see the golfers' rage at being (gasp!) put off their game becomes even funnier when they drive the ball straight at Knoxville and co., completely missing the point that such a response is the object of the stunt.

It's sure to be lambasted as irresponsible and perverse, but you'll see nothing here that's worse than in the acclaimed documentary "Sick: The Life & Death of Bob Flanagan, Supermasochist" of a few years ago. Sadly, it's likely "Jackass" will get it in the neck because it's about having a laugh.

As brainless as the movie incarnations of both South Park and Beavis and Butt-head, "Jackass" is just as funny as both - and better than many of the so-called comedies Hollywood produces.

Jackass," as you no doubt know-or, just as likely, don't even want to know-is trash culture's most extreme offspring, an MTV series that consists entirely of the host Johnny Knoxville and his merry band of skate punk-cum-frat boys performing masochistic stunts, the stupider the better. In the big-screen version of the show, which is little more than a series of unconnected scenes, Knoxville and company do things like walk a tightrope over an alligator pond while tempting the gators with raw chicken stuffed into their jockstraps. They also drive golf carts at reckless speeds over a miniature-golf course, eat a snow cone flavored with urine, and endure paper cuts between their toes and on their tongues. And in the tour de force, one lucky member of the troupe, Ryan Dunn, inserts a toy car into his rectum and then goes to the doctor for an X-ray, feigning puzzlement over his inability to sit down without discomfort. Merchant Ivory it's not-it's not even the Farrelly brothers-but there's no finer freak-show comedy around. And Conrad's principle of "fascination with the abomination" has never been as brilliantly,

This is a brilliant film, it is about a large group of people , mostly skaters, that are performing stupid/funny acts, it is an '18 film' but it does generally appeal to people from about 14-35, it isnt really meant for older people because they would tend to find it immature. This is like the Jackass TV series but most people would say that it is better. Jackass 2 the movie has also been released which is better than this movie but it is very similar. Overall i would say that this is a brilliant film.

Brought for my kid,some adult humour in dvd but taken in spitit of fun.We decided to buy the dvd because my kid is crazy about jackass in all respects.
Only hoping he dos@ent try any of their stunts!!

Didnt really enjoy this film. Not as good as jackass 2! :D I liked parts of it, although there are lots of cringing scenes.

I was curious as to what this movie was when I saw the cast and remembered 'Viva La Bam'. Although it did not exceed my expectations, it did a good effort to meet it. This movie has some of the most outrageously obnoxious stunts one can ever think of. It is extremely humourous sometimes and some stunts made me wonder why anyone would do such a thing.

All in all, a mixed bag of emotions with excellent value for money. Watch it with friends and its even funnier.

totally worth the money, i have watched it so many times now and its still as funny as the first time. highly recommened, can't wait till the next 1 comes out. your bound to laugh all the way through if you buy it.

I think this film is really good for the money i paid for it. It is so funny and i wouuld reccomend it to somebody else who is suitable to watch it. I bought this because i watched it at my mates house and thought it was really good so i searched for it on ebay and here i found it cheap as chips :]

I consider myself more open minded than most critics when it comes to gutter humor. Always one to enjoy watching idiots get hurt, I had high hopes for Jackass: The Movie, a feature length version of the MTV show that highlights dangerous folly. The opening was promising enough, with Johnny Knoxville, Bam Margera, Steve-O, and the rest of the cast punching each other in the face as they careened down a hill in a giant shopping cart. But I quickly learned the disappointing reality that Jackass was not all mortal danger and laughs at the expense of others--some of it was just bogus and unfunny.

Each of the scenes fall into one of two categories: prank or stunt.

The pranks are the lamest moments, feeling utterly staged and artificial. These practical jokes present themselves as spontaneous hidden camera gags, but they seem like nothing more than planned shots with hired actors. In one scene, the Jackass crew rents a car, trashes it to hell, then tries to return it. Not only is this routine boring, but it smacks of phoniness: even if it were real, are we supposed to believe Knoxville and Company never let the victims in on the joke? Hell, the production studio probably paid for the car when all was said and done.

In another prank, one of the Jackasses strips down to a g-string and gets his dance on in the streets of Japan. He definitely makes a clown out of himself, but again, it feels too staged. The way the scene is shot implies the camera is in full view and the victims know they are being filmed. Seeing the guys consistently use clunky 1950s-looking equipment elsewhere doesn't help the hidden camera argument.

But then there are the stunts. These are the best parts of Jackass, hilarious because they feature severe lapses of good judgement and morons getting hurt. It's as if someone crawled into the little brains of these dumbasses and shut down their basic survival instincts. Two examples of this lack of self-preservation include Steve-O getting fed to the alligators and a subsequent swim with hungry sharks.

Stunts gone wrong, such as a dimwit falling out of a tree while trying to give himself a "bungee wedgie," are among the funnier scenes, as are the ones with painful consequences: Johnny Knoxville gets shot with a bean bag gun, then later gets clocked so hard by rotund boxer Butterbean that he has to get his fool head stitched up. An electric razor that sneaks up on unsuspecting chumps throughout the movie is also worth a few recurring laughs.

Some stunts are good at making audiences cringe, like the Jackasses using heavy manila envelopes to give themselves papercuts between their fingers and toes, and in the corners of their mouths. Others excel at the straightforward gross-out, like a freak pissing on a snowcone and eating the goddam thing (if that's not enough, his colleagues also kick him in the stones until he vomits). Still others are just odd: what can you say about getting a tattoo in an off-road Hummer while Henry Rollins yells vulgarities, or about a dumbf*** who sets off fireworks in his ass? And speaking of ass, would it be so hard to properly clothe these sick bastards? This flick has far too much male nudity for its own good.

No one should expect cinematic brilliance when going into something like Jackass: The Movie. Its sole purpose is to deliver big laughs powered by crass comedy, and it often succeeds. But the bits that don't work misfire badly, leaving stupidity without the entertainment value. An

MOST OF THIS DVD WAS EXALENT IT WAS HILLARIOUS AND I LAUGHED SO MUCH, THE ONLY DOWN SID WAS THAT A FEW OF THE STUNTS IN IT WERE JUST A BIT ON THE DODGY SIDE I THOUGHT THAT THEY WERE JUST A BIT TO GROASE. I BOYUGHT IT BECAUSE MY OLDEST SON IS A SKATBOARDER AND HE WAS GOING ON ABOUT IT.

This is great film if your into jackass, but if you are easily offended, this is not for you. I love it, bar one or two more 'extreme' stunts (usually done by Steve-o, but overall I think it's awesome and i can't wait for Jackass the Movie 2. Great!
