I, Robot (DVD 2004)

One of the best books I ever rad donkeys years ago, now on this DVD I bought at a bargain price, this book/film is the keystone of true science fiction!!!

This film centres on a future where hhumans are dependant on robots but an upgraded model is released and terrorizes the world and only one can save them. WILL SMITH. excellent co stars including Shia Lebouff (Transformers). great plot with an excellent eye-watering ending.

A classic sci-fi film thought provoking and well acted the special effects were not over the top but added to possible realism of this film

I like the movie because it is great fun, is action packed and full of emotions. It has Will Smith in and he is always fun to watch.

he film is amazingly shot, beautiful vast city skylines reminiscent of Blade Runner set the scene and mood brilliantly, visually it's stunning. The robots themselves are fantastic and don't seem out of place walking down the street with humans, a fine achievement as this can so often let a film down. The graphics people have done a great job with the robots themselves they look good and move beautifully, Sunny the star robot really has a human edge but still reminded me a little of Casper the ghost. Whilst there probably is a moral buried in here somewhere, it's not immediate and the film is just huge entertainment and action the whole way through - the car scene is fantastic. This is a big budget production and there's the now familiar product placement, JVC, Audi & Converse All Star all feature this time around, but that's the norm these days. Will Smith is excellent as the cynical lead and plays his part to perfection. Great escapism, and you don't have to be a sci-fi fan to enjoy it. Absolutley Amazing

One of the best films I have ever seen. Bought it because it deserves to be seen more than once to appreciate it.

I was unsure about this film having seen the reviews when it first came out.I'd not see it before but thought I'd give it a go.I must say I missed out by not going to see it when it came out.Great film,keeps you guessing as to who is on the side of good and who's not.Smith is on form from start to finish.
A dvd worth getting and will watch it again.

i was pleased that the case was damaged, the DVD it self has been used a lot but it still works perfectly.

Another great action movie with Will Smith at the helm. The pace never lets up and keeps you gripped throughout. The storyline has Will struggling to come to terms with a horrific car crash in which he is saved over a young girl. His saviour being a robot, which act on statistical logic and not hunches, something Will cannot get to grips with. The story takes you through his quest to find it within himself to accept that robots play a intrigal part in life. A great film which will keep you entertained throughout. Happy viewing

Always been a fan of Isaac Asimovs writing so i was confident of being a fan of his film interpretation, he's great source material for hollywood. It's a cross between Terminator and Bladerunner, but a bit too product 'advertisey' for my parochial tastes. Love the colours and futuristic effects, Will Smith plays his part sooowell, when the corporate controller spouts his 'best for our future' bit, Will sneezes and announces he's allergic to bullshit! Fast paced, but needs more baddy input, just too many special effects 'slow motion' shots, I love character building. As a futuristic yarn, good fun. Think overall that Ewan McGregor had a more original plot in the Island.

was a good purchase, good condition, liked the film, very good, chose to buy it because i have not seen it before, great for my collection.

This film is face paced, exciting with a bit of mystery thrown in for good measure. It is also strangely touching in bits. Will Smith gives an excellent performance as the anti-robot cop. Very good even if you are not a Sci Fi fan, its still worth a watch.

The greatest sci fi surprise of 2004 has to be this ambitious, exciting thriller from Crow director Alex Proyas. No one expected it to be so good, but it's a corker, the kind of movie that popcorn was invented for. An intriguing murder mystery with lots of high concept, explosive action sequences and a wealth of cutting edge special effects, the film stars Will Smith, better than ever as a techno-phobic cop in pursuit of a killer robot who's actually a bit of a sweetheart. If it's a blockbuster you're after, something big and bright and shiny for the weekend, hop aboard and enjoy the ride.

Excellent graphics for the robots, great film! Surprisingly good and definitely true to the spirit, concerns and theories of Asimov. Spirited performances all round, CGI that's there for a reason and good cinematography makes this a bit of a hit for me. It's also prompted me to dig out a pile of old Asimovs for my 14 year old. For once Hollywood has not dumbed down its source material.

The movie is absolutely easy - watching and entertaining. Probably the akers tried to put some deeper meaning in it but failed. It is hardly philosophical film, if you are trying to get an answer if robots can thonk or hear, go and watch "A.I.", "Bicentennial man" or "The Ghost in the shell". However if you just like speedy action and robot fighting, this one wil be just perfect for you. I did enjoy that one and would not call it a waste of time but could get better value for my money.

Intelliegent, action movie. One of Will Smiths better movies. Great for a Saturday night. Just add beer and pizza.......

Following some quite strong opinions on this film, I decided to try and find a copy on eBay. Decided give the film a good chance and chose a quite evening to sit down and watch it. Found that the story line was excellent, graphics were impressive and a generally good film. I didnt find myself wandering off half way through "because i was bored"; instead I was fully engrossed. A great film, would recommend to anyone.

Brilliant film, classic Will Smith. Good mix of drama, romance and comedy. A really entertaining watch, suitable for most ages.

my 10 year old loves this and of course i watched it myself first and i really cannot see why its rated as a 15!

I bought I Robot for my children...
However it is an excellent action packed entertaining family film...
We all enjoyed it...

This film was my favourite film when it first came out i thought will smith was brilliant in it and im glad they put him in it. I recomend this dvd to anyone who likes will smith or action movie's because this is the best will smith film i've seen and a great action film.
