Although the Lo Fi's would hate me to start this review with thw phrase Big Beat, they can't deny that their sound alongside Norman Cook's and the other Skint label artists truly defined an era in the late 90s.
Lo Fi's first album is generally regarded as their best and truly so. It's deep, dark and funky with the type of electronic riffs your parents cringe at.
Nearly 10 years since its release, this album still sounds fresh and innovative. Nothing has been produced like it since or before it.
Taking cues from Bootsy Collins, Kraftwerk and Daft Punk, the Lo Fi boys truly conjured up an aural delight from start to finish.
