Proper Queen fans probably either dont or wont be too keen on this album as its a bit different from their usual stuff but, as a bit of a fan myself, think its got some of their best standalone songs on it. Las Palabras, Calling all girls, Action this day and Under Pressure are the standouts. Enjoy.
Hot Space was did not generally go down well with fans at the time. Released in 1982 this album takes to a different style (one which was around at the time) and the result is disappointing. Tracks go from the down-right silly Body Language to the excellent Under Pressure - a collaboration between Queen and David Bowie.
The album itself tends to get better as it goes on. Some of the songs from it, like Las Palabras de Amor and Under Pressure are included on the Platinum Collection and therefore, if you have this then you will not need to buy Hot Space. If you are intregued by the other tracks on the album then why not buy Live at the Bowl which gives a live insight into some of the tracks. The live insight, is however, also makes the songs a lot better than they are on the album.
