if you never watched fame academy on tv then you may not know who she is. This is her 2nd album since the show. Its amazing. Great mix of tracks. All written by Alex. I would recommend you to purchase both her albums. Great for easy listening.

After the release of her debut album Introduction Alex Parks seemed to fade away from the spotlight and fans were left wondering if she was just another one hit wonder.
Then in 2005 (2 years later) Alex was back with her eagerly-awaited second album "honesty" and the wait was well worth it!!!
Honesty is a much deeper and better produced album than her rush-released debut and the extra time that went into it has realy paid-off. There's a much more personal feel to the whole record with plenty of raw emotion set free by the awesome vocal tones of this unique artist.
Album includes the top singles "honesty" and "looking for water" and is a real must have for anyone serious about good music. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!

) I had been looking for a copy of this CD for a while, but it appears to have disappeared off the shelves of most music stores. I enjoyed ALex Parks on Fame Academy and had her first CD, "Introduction". "Honesty" features tracks that Alex has all co-written herself. There is a certain similarity in sound/tone to most of the tracks so you need to ba a fan of Alex's voice, but if like me, you are, then this is a great album to have. One strange thing, the 12th and final track on the album is supposed to run for just over three minutes and does, but if you then leave the CD playing, after about 7 minutes of silence there is another, different track. So do not be too quick to hit the eject button.

Alex Parks - Honesty (CD2005)I bought Alex Parks Honesty CD as I wanted to see if she could produced a good album of her own and not just know out a load of covers like her first album. Don't get me wrong I liked the first album as she has a great and individual voice. Honesty is a brilliant CD and I feel that Alex is a very under rated artist, just because she started out on reality TV it does not make her any less talented than anyone else out today. I would recommend this CD to anyone who likes Alex Parks.

Honesty is the first entirely original album from Alex Parks, winner of the second series of Fame Academy over 2 years ago. Her first album, Introduction, gave us a glipse of the direction she might take and where that started, this continues.
Some criticisms have been levelled at the album already, namely that it's too down-tempo, too angsty and that the vocals aren't strong enough. As far as the tempo goes, there's plenty of upbeat songs, such as Honesty, Truth or Dare and the secret track - Tail and All (which is a real gem). Similarly, not all the songs are sad. However, I would have liked to see a few more tracks where Alex really pushed her voice to the limit, like she does in the opening track Lie. Having said that, if you look at the album as a whole, the tracks work really well together and it feels like a complete chapter - so perhaps the next album will mark a change of pace and style?
The only real criticsm that I'd levy at the album would be in terms of it's production. Although Alex's singing sounds stripped down and bare, some of the music seems to swallow it up or work against it, particularly towards the middle of the album. I would have liked to have heard a more acoustic feel to the album (to match the style of her singing) - or at least more 'real' instruments!
Aside from that, I think it's a great album, and definitely one that improves with a few listens. Whether you put it on in the background to chill out or turn it up loud and feel every word, it's definitely one to have in your music collection. And an album that shows just how far Alex has progressed as a songwriter (the lyrics throughout are excellent) and how she has successfully distanced herself from the TV talent show label.
