Wow! what a legacy, what a great little collection of hit singles spanning Weller's thirty year career history. The thing about this compilation is, that it's under no pressure to be fully comprehensive, as there are already some very well put together 'Best Of's' available for his Jam and Style Council phases (not sure if there is a detailed one for his solo stuff or not). You see, the joy of this cd is, that you grab a handful of hits from all parts of his career to give a brilliant overview, so with all this variety and killer tunes all on the one disc, you can't really go wrong. To call this a fine collection of music, is a bit of an understatement.

Paul Weller - Hit ParadeIf you are not too sure which of Paul Weller's albums to buy - then this is the one to go for - everything from The Jam, The Style Council and all of Paul Wellers solo hits are here. You forget how much good stuff Paul Weller has done over the years and how different and varied it is. Rock, blues and soul are all represented here.

Paul Weller - Hit ParadeTruly brilliant CD set. Each Cd brings right back the different phases of his talent. Although I bought it for nostalgia I now listen to his more recent stuff more often and its very good!

Pul Weller - Hit Parade 2006A cracking CD of a history of Paul Weller's career in music from the Jam via Style Council to his solo acts. I bought it as I lost some of my early records and caught The Jam belting out "Going Underground" on the radio. This triggered a desire to hear more so a quick search on Ebay did the trick. Play it LOUD!

This is a brilliant taster for those that want to try Weller without buying the 4 disc set...nearly all the best ones from the Jam, Style Council and Weller himself.
For the true lovers of his work the 4 disc anthology has the lot.
This man is still writing great songs into his 4th decade...top stuff
