I have just bought this on Dvd and absolutely loved it, I didn't get to see it at the cinema and was waiting to buy it and wasn't disappointed. The special effects were brilliantand the characters were played fabulously as with the others. Older kids that have read the book may be a bit disappointed as its such a long book alot had to be cut out to make the film a decent length but mine still enjoyed it a great deal. I would say however that it is alot darker than the previous films and i would not recommend it for young children as it would be far to scary for them. All in all a great movie!
For me i love the harry potter films, although with some carrying on films they tend to loose there creativity and suspense, but i must say with Harry Potter that isnt the case.
The fourth instalment of the film is just as good as the first if not better, it makes you think i cant wait for the next one. It has a whole new lot of characters in it with very different personalities, you even get to see voldamont in this film! It has some great graphics and all in all its a great film, if i was wanting to watch something magical, and something thats out of this world id definatly recommend this film. It is one that you can watch over and over again, im definatly going to buy it when its out on dvd.
Its definatly worth the money, trust me its a film to watch.:)
One of the best Harry Potter films made so far. It was also the best book and most interesting and dark film of the series (other than the most recent film). One that can be enjoyed by both adults and children on different levels - it takes you into a world of fantasy and highlights the very real danger that Harry, Ron and Hermione are in. Brilliant!
Harry Potters just get better and better and it doesn't matter how many times you watch them they are enjoyable! This is as entertaining to adults as it is to children alike. However, we are starting to get into "darker" times in potters life and may be a little scary for younger children.
The best of the "Harry Potters" in my opinion(the mums) oh, the kids enjoyed it too!!!! A great all round family film , a firm favorite with the young and old, Funny and jumpy, had you laughing and feeling sad,
This is one of the HP DVD's that I didnt have - the seller was a charity shop for the samaritans - so it was a double bonus for me - I got what I wanted and a charity benefitted - also their ebay classification was good
Technically brilliant and artistically accomplished: an entertaining adventure movie for the older kid-at-heart. A must-see for Harry Potter fans but, of course, a less detailed version of the tale in the book.
With this fourth movie we get as good an adventure as we got with the third one and some - just some - of the spirit of the book back as well.
The plot has been altered a lot again but at least we are given a satisfactory rendition of the cruel, dark atmosphere of the book. So dark in fact that the film is not suitable for younger children.
I will not discuss details further: this movie is well scripted, well directed, well filmed and very well acted, thoroughly enjoyable.
Unfortunately much of the sharp edged sarcasm of the book gets lost here: Miranda Richardson is just great but the script turn the evil character of the book into a nosy and a little nasty reporter and there is not a lot she can do about this. This is true for nearly every character. Watch the film for the fun of it forgetting the book while you do it so that you can enjoy both of them
Another brilliant film from the ever extending Harry Potter collection! I own all the other films even though there are no children in my household, and while the special features are certainly aimed at providing yet more entertainment for the kiddies, the film itself is a joy to all generations!!
This is the first DVD I've bought on eBay and won't be buying another unless I can guarantee that it isn't a copy. The one I bought stops starts all the way through and is virtually unwatchable. In future I'll pay more for an original. Nevertheless, the movie is top notch, just a shame about the burn.
I'm sure the film is excellent. However, I have never seen it because despite buying it TWICE from different sellers on Ebay, neither seller ever sent the DVD I paid for. I doubt I'll risk buying another Harry Potter DVD on Ebay! Its too expensive to receive nothing at all!
we liked the other harry potter movies so we had'nt seen this one, but it looked great.we are glade we bought it because it was the best out of the 4 movies
I think that it is safe to say that I have never been more eager for a film to be released onto the big screen. I think it is also safe to say that it has been a long, long time since I have enjoyed a film so much. Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire is the greatest and latest of the saga, and was nothing short of beautiful. It's plot evolves around the triwizard tournament, a legendary event that brings three wizard schools together for a series of magical competitions. Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliff) mysteriously finds himself unwillingly taking part as the forth champion. The story progresses through the three events and his struggle to survive them. All the time he is being setup for a terrorifing show-down with 'you know who' in a graveyard. As I mentioned previously, this film is beautiful. The characters are extremely deep and played to perfection by the now more experienced Daniel, Emma, and Rupert. The story is perfect and involving with more than a few twists. There are some stunning scenes thoughtout which enhances the film. It is the darkest to date and there is a very powerful and moving death scene but it is also unbelievable watchable and enjoyable. At one point my knees started to felt weak as the film began to conclude. To summarise Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire is a truly amazing film that can be enjoyed by all the family. I am counting the days to the release of the next film.
