The advantages are plain from the outset, the speed at which the newer version of the GPS calculates routes, is outstanding. The Built in MP3 player is a fantastic addition, slip in a four gigabyte SD card and your flying just copy accross all your MP3's from your ipod collection onto the card and play the music through your autocom, not to mention connecting your phone. So if you have had a older GPS such as the street pilot III and were looking for that excuse then this only has to be recommended.
