XTC - Fossil Fuel (The XTC Singles Collection 1977-1992) (CD 1996)

I was blissfully unaware of this fantastic collection of XTC singles until I tried to replace my old vinyl copy of 'Waxworks' on CD. I found 'Waxworks' difficult to find and a bit of a collectors item which was holding its price very well. Then I found 'Fossil Fuel' a double CD which not only had all my old favourites from 'Waxworks' but also numerous tracks I hadn't heard before from their later work. XTC have stood the test of time and are as vibrant now as they were when I first heard 'Sgt Rock' 'Making Plans For Nigel' and 'Senses Working Overtime' in the late 70's early 80's. A real class act. If you get the chance to buy 'Fossil Fuel' do so! You will not be disappointed.
